I started up HotS today, ducked away from my keyboard, and returned to see a ‘restart your game for an update’ notice. Did so, played a couple of matches, then ducked away again. I was just sitting back down when my game crashed. Wondering why I saw my internet security showing a warning.

According to the reports Heroes of the Storm now contains PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic - whatever that is. My IS detected it, terminated the process, then deleted the file. It is now advocating a system restart and disinfection - not sure what that latter entails. Posting this warning\issue\query to Battle.Net before doing so though.

Anyone else run into this trojan\warning issue? Has Blizzard infected our systems or is my IS just playing games???

This could potentially be a false positive with the antivirus. Have a look into this support page, for things that you can do.

Always happenning in ranked mode of course…
