Hots crashes my computer? or gpu?

Ive had 3 crashes yesterday while playing. the screen goes off as if nothing is connected even tho the computer is still running.
It didnt happen to me with other, much more graphical demanding games.

Apologies for the necro, I know this is an old post.

However I am experiencing a similar issue, as described by OP, when loading into a game my PC completely crashes, my displays go black without passing a BSOD and then shortly after my PC restarts itself. After the restart the game reloads successfully and I can play out the rest of the game.

It as suggested by Keimmaki, doesn’t crash to windows, the entire PC crashes and restarts.
This is on a fresh install of windows;
GPU drivers recently reinstalled;
C++redists reinstalled;
CMD commands - SFC and DISM run successfully
Run OCCT stress tests several times with no errors found
Event viewer doesn’t show any errors that would suggest anything specific.

I have recently upgraded my specs from:
CPU: AMD FX-8350
RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel 1600MHz DDR3
Motherboard: Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z
Graphics: 8192MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 390 Series (MSI)
Storage:

1863GB Western Digital WDC WD20EARX-00PASB0 (SATA )
223GB KINGSTON SA400S37240G (SATA-2 (SSD)) - Boot drive
465GB Hitachi HDS725050KLA360 (SATA )

As an update to this post, I continued having similar crashes outside of HOTS which appeared to be graphical errors.

I have upgraded my GPU now, I will edit this post once I have tested the same scenarios.

EDIT:
Upgrading my GPU seems to have fixed the issue. Looks like my GPU was failing.
