It might be a bug with your voice coms channels or something. Years ago we used to have the exact same problem with your voice coms reconnection stuck in some form of… a loop?
Since I know you guys are lacking manpower and financing, I would suggest you to actually give the option to NOT reconnect to the voice coms channels. This can also prevent any future problems with it. So far in my games I have NEVER had a game on which anyone uses that (as a solo players).
