I have complained before and I will do so again and again dont care if anything happens anymore - Blizzard is dead this forum doesnt accomplish anything.

I choose EU region - I expect to be put in EU where the primary language is English
I dont care about Blizzards stupid server infrastructure being broken we all are aware that group the whole player base into 3 regions is a joke.
I HAVE NO ISSUES WITH ARABS - I cant speak to my teamies they either refuse to speak english or dont know it and everyone now and then when I tell them I only understand english some guy just runs of with how they celebrate 9/11.
Yeah no joke the amount of toxicity in the ME region is next level if you dont speak arabic - so not only can I not understand them but I am alienated af.
For the love of all that is good dont reply to this if you are going to pretend that this is not a massive problem overall, meaning they way Blizzard handles servers, don’t justify it dont rationalize it just f dont. Just understand the immense frustration that Blizzard actually creates and perpetuates the higher chances of toxicity to happen by grouping different speaking languages together without giving the player the option to choose where he wants to play.

There is just a complete complete and utter shutout between the player base and Blizzard- They have built a wall around themselves and they live in an echo chamber and a bunch of yes men. This is the only way this happens.

What if they don’t speak English?
Why is it on others to learn English. Why don’t us English players stop being so lazy and start learning… there are 24 “offical” languages spoken in Europe, so what are they to do.
Also, no it isn’t racist. You are being xenophobic by trying to ring fence things based on nationality/language.
There isn’t a shut down, they just can’t be bothered to listen to complaints like this because they are a bit odd.
Another one… what about the Spanish speakers in America.

but learning 24 Lang Dude comon xD, I prefer simply just use simple English 
I can say:
- language is a barrier no matter what, and The level of knowledge and morals is different that’s a big three problems.
- Easy number 1 rule in every communication tool is to respect the ppl of the server by using there Lang or just go by the majority users language OR just use the easy English and try to win ^_^.
I agree 100% with the increase of toxicity created by the Diversity if it happens with weak monitor >> which leads to Weakening the quality of the game and the experience and I also agree with " the option to choose where I want to play". having the options and permission to access where I want to play is always a good thing.

About ME server, just like any other server in any other game no good monitor~ no good quality, I have to say I already seek in forums and opened tickets for better monitoring ME Server and some suggestions also,
As much I was happy waiting for this moment more than 10 years as a blizzard gamer to have ME server for better Latency and chill with same Lang users. i was disappointed of the whole idea with the lack of Good monitor I End up “Blocking” ME server and just go EU and speak simple English and play with 168 Latncy trying to block shatter for 4 years now and I am still TRYING
The suggestion for ME server was by hiring some gm’s with the language or utilize already hired GM’s other Lang users as a way to improve the game.

Throwing 9/11 crap is just a weakness of you by saying “They” and generalize that crap. We don’t celebrate it and we condemn and damn and we “kill” Terrorist’s who kill innocents. it could be a bad joke by a random guy, if that was for real hate, Please report him if you didn’t and even save replay if u can in future and upload by a ticket or forums if you didn’t get respond from Blizzard.

if you’re from the ME, why shouldn’t you be on an ME server?
as for us europeans, we don’t want other people to come to our servers.
we’ve had a big issue especially with russians when it comes to this as they rarely speak english or any european language and the only few things they do like to say is not nice at all.
the infamous phrase that all europeans now have learned how to curse in russian is not by accident.
and we aren’t that friendly with each other in europe either.

Russia is part of Europe and their language is one of the official European languages.
The Middle East and Africa have always “had” to play on the European region and hoped for a good server. So the ME server eased that slightly.
But brandishing all as bad eggs because of a few bad examples is ridiculous. I play with a Russian guy quite often and he is one of the most positive players I’ve come across. When he creates groups he reminds new players that we don’t flame each other and we can discuss any issues we had after the match.
Language barriers have always been there. And if you can learn some crude Russian phrases… nothing stopping you learning a few basic things in other languages.
A lot of this issue comes from peoples almost zero understanding of the “servers”
You are NEVER picking what server you play on. You pick Americas, Europe or Asia as your region… The game then decides from the servers in that region which one would be the best for each match.
You can work this in your favour by stacking with people. If you play with 5 people in England, you will only ever get placed on server that I believe is in France.

russia is not a part of europe, it’s in asia, they have basically their own servers because their country is so large, belarus is east european possibly so is a lot of countries west of russia, a lot of countries outside of east and west europe have their own server regions at this point.
i’m not brandishing ALL russians as bad, but there is a reason for why we know more curse words in russian than actual useful ones.
but you suggest i learn italian, spanish, german and french and ontop of it now too russian?
i’m sorry, i’m just trying to play a game with people in my vicinity, hell if they could give my region their own separate server i’d never leave it.
want to know my extent of russian that helps me in games? Davaj davaj and a bunch of curse words.

You might want to do a little research there. Russian is the most populous country in Europe.
Of all of their “districts” only one is classed as predominantly in Asia. Which has a population of around 12million. Russia’s population is well over 100million.
So barely 10% of the country has political ties to Asia.
Why does learning about 5 words/phrases in a language = learning a whole language.
You could probably learn then in the key EU languages in about 30 minutes.
If you learnt push, regroup, go left, go right in Russian, German, French, English and Turkish you’d have the 5 most spoken languages in Europe covered.
Anyways. The point is the Middle East and Africa have always played on the European region of servers. Just the MENA block has their own sub server now.
The quickest solution is for people just to get over it and move on. Chances are they probably can’t understand you either.
if you look at a world map you would clearly see that russia is in asia, they stretch from the baltic sea to the sea of japan which means they have their own server regions, so why would they need to come to west european servers?
i’ve been around more russian players than any other demographic
yet i can’t speak comprehensible russian seeing as they aren’t friendly enough to non-russians and they don’t know basically any rudimentary english which makes it a lot harder to talk to them.
i’ve practically have atleast 1 russian teammate in every game i play online.
you’d think i’d pick up russian just by virtually allways playing with them, but that’s not the case.
hell i don’t even know the word for “very good” in russian, yet i know it in basically 10 different languages, 2 of them not even european.
it might be because their cyrillic text is just illegible to me so it’s harder to know what letters they are using.
but still with all of this, they have their own servers yet they keep coming to west european servers all day long.
why?

There are no Blizzard servers in Russia. The have Paris, Amsterdam and one in the Middle East on the European region.
Russia is in Europe. It is part of the European Council, but like the UK and Norway is not part of the European Union, but that is more of a legal administrative body than anything.
Very good in Russian is otlichno (spelling might be a little off). Said something like ot-lich-na if I remember rightly.
And again, as this doesn’t seem to sink in. YOU DO NOT CHOOSE YOUR SERVER THE GAME PICKS THAT BASED ON WHO IT HAS MATCHED INTO YOUR LOBBY. IT WILL THEN DIRECT THE TRAFFIC TO THE MOST CONVIENIENT SERVER (ie the closest one to most of the players in the lobby, so if you match with a stack playing in Jeddah, then you are likely to land on the ME server).
so let’s get this right, russia has the most populous city in all of europe and they don’t have their own server.
yet there is a server in paris and also in amsterdam which are practically next door to each other, who planned this server region debacle?
oh, can you tell me in cyrillic letters because i don’t think i’d recognize it and btw i’ve never heard that word in my entire life over voice yet i’ve spent 20 or so years playing with russians.
ask dafran how much russian he knows, he should be able to say “regroup” in russian at this point right?
and again, i don’t see why russia or east europe don’t have their own servers at this point.
Russia is difficult to deal with in terms of data and so on especially from an American country (USA and Russia don’t really see eye to eye, as I am sure you are aware)…
As for the current locations, they work well and piggy backed of legacy servers they had. A lot of Blizzard European business is dealt with out of the Netherlands, and Paris was an addition to upgrade capacity. Also bare in mind the EU player base is much smaller than the Americas and Asian regions so having extra servers isn’t really required.

i’ve seen that cyrillic, never heard it though.
like honestly i might aswell change the characters voices into russian so that way i might learn by just spamming the basic voice lines and hearing it but be translated into english.
because i generally get to play with about 2-4 russians every game.
don’t know how i would learn cyrillic though, i just know that some letters don’t look like the english one and is like jumbled up.
i’ve actually tried to learn how to read cyrillic in the past but i’ve given up, since most of the time they are just spamming curse words anyways.
I would imagine it is based on time of day you are playing, and your location.

well playing counterstrike, dota and dota2 and some other games, it’s really not that different.
sometimes they do learn basic english to convey what they want.
like Rush B or Gank or go go go.
but it’s usually followed up by nothing if its succesful or if it fails it’s just a bunch of russian cursing.
but they have no qualms about completely ignoring you if you can’t speak russian aswell and speak only russian with other russian people and you’re just stuck in a “russian game”.
which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense if you’ve grown up and been force fed to learn english 9 years in school which is a part of the course for most european countries except maybe the other 4 major languages in europe.
which most other european countries do atleast learn very basic parts of those languages by proxy.
ain’t nobody in the west europe growing up learning cyrillic in any means or fashion.
hence why i think russians should atleast get their own region that they share with other east european countries that some of those also use the cyrillic alphabet.

but yeah, i’d rather get a server for my region which is scandinavia and we do get our own servers in some games but even so, the russians go there aswell despite in other games they have their own servers, you know why?
because russians don’t like other russians.
The Norsemen will mostly be raiding on Dutch server, which is why you’ve got a lot of Rus Vikings in your games.
You could add a St Petersburg server, in theory. But it won’t solve any issues raised here.
It would just become the 4th server on the EU region. So there would be no guarantees, you could still end up on the ME server depending on who is matched in your game.
As always, you stack with people in the right areas you can also 99% control where you play.
Just queue for NA servers and let the EU servers die a horrible death, infested with Russians and Arabs.

i don’t think i’ve ever been to the ME server, i can’t even remember if there’s been an ME player in any of my games at all except people who live in western europe who come from that region.
norsemen have to raid the dutch server, so does the Rus, no wonder why it’s such a mess.
kinda glad though that i don’t get to play with the french, they are not really known for speaking english and it seems they like to be really talkative.
i don’t think they need to add a server in st.petersburg, i just think they need to separate the west eu and east eu a little better, because as mentioned earlier a server in france and in amsterdam doesn’t really constitute west and east europe, they’re both in the west.
there’s nothing to be done with these types of servers if the russians have nowhere else to go.
like seriously i don’t get why ME people want to come to the european server when it’s probably less chaotic and messed up than the european one.
Just because I don’t agree with your opinion it doesn’t mean that you have to dismiss someone by labeling him with whatever fancy word is used nowadays.
After all, NA servers are more diverse than ours, right?
I would say the French probably make up largest player base, in terms of single nation.
People in the Middle East don’t have a choice. They play on the European region and get what they get. Just like everyone in England, Sweden or Andorra. They have always played on one of the 2 servers in Europe, now they have a closer 3rd option. But it isn’t up to them which of the 3 their game is on.
It is all about who is in your match. if you have 4 people from ME and 8 people from France… The match will be on the Paris server.
If it is 8 people from ME and 4 from France… you will be on the ME server.
