he is not xenophobic, I’m Arab myself and I’m annoyed by these stupid decision to group Middle East and Europe under one region, I just prefer to speak English while gaming.
Also you can’t compare the Middle East with Europe, this shows that you don’t know what you are talking about, the Middle east is a huge region where every country speaks the same language but with different dialect but they understand each other perfectly fine, it’s more like an accent, so what ends up happening in the Middle Eastern servers is that everyone speaks Arabic for this reason. Moreover, the majority of the Middle East population can’t speak English well, so why would they use English to communicate when they all can speak Arabic?
Europe on the other hand consists of many different small countries each with its own language or multiple language, so the whole region agrees to just speak the universal language everyone understands which is English.

A simple Google search reveals that around 60% of the middle east speaks Arabic, which is why your following comment was wrong…

The point being that even if we had separate middle eastern servers just for middle easteners, most likely the teams would have to resort to English anyway because you would have different nationalities and around 40% of them don’t speak Arabic.
I play in middle east server and I dont speak Arabic . When I talk in voice chat or write in text chat even the people who are talking in Arabic respond to me in English . So your whole argument is pretty flat.
that is another of your flat argument .Italians ,French and Germans speak very little English ,so do the Turkish people .it is not because they dont want to but because their education system doesnot teach english very well . On middle east server I have seen people try to speak or write English even if it is a bit broken .

Also many workers are living and working in middle east countries who only strictly speak English not Arabic .then there are African countries like South Africa ,Kenya who are also connecting to middle east server and none of them speak Arabic .

I don’t care about your “arguments”. I don’t think I’m even arguing with you, I don’t care about whether your little snowflake like ME servers or not, I want to pick EU and end up playing in EU. this is not the point, the point is not what language is spoken, what language is spoken is a mere factor, we don’t want to play on ME, how is giving an option to pick strictly EU server is now something I need to argue with people about? any competitive game worth its salt don’t put ME servers under EU like Dota2, CSGO, Fortnite, etc…

You’re not listening, or reading, unfortunately. I just said I agree with you and that ME and EU servers/regions SHOULD BE separated.
I just said you are wrong saying the whole ME just speaks different dialects of Arabic. That is all. 60% speak Arabic. That means almost half don’t.

developers give EU only option plz or a reason not to at least, ignoring this like this is a middle finger to anyone who sunk thousands of hours into the game…

Reduce que times, better match making and to make crossplay possible on non-ranked modes.
These were the reasons they gave when it came in.
Some of it worked, some hasn’t. Like, not sure crossplay has had any real impact (despite all the forum criers thinking it would be doomsday)
These reasons don’t make sense. If you want to make match making better and reduce the queue times you don’t a split a region into two, unless all you care about is reducing the ping for your players.
And if reducing the ping is the one and only thing they care about, there is still no reason not to make this optional for those who want to trade higher ping with bigger pool of players and playing in EU just like in other competitive games like Dota 2 that let you pick more than one region at the same time, or Fortnite that let you pick between EU and ME and not just throw you wherever it wants to.
I can only give the reasons they provided. It was mostly to benefit console players due to their significantly smaller player base.
Personally, I’ve seen nothing different on PC, i still only play on the CDG and AMS servers, unless I choose to play with NA friends.
It was never about ping. Just about filling lobbies more efficiently. The game can be played without issues at anything below about 130/140ms

Why not just get to the point an say. They need there own server simple. Because it dont matter about language its matters about the game qulity. I myself am EU an all of my lobbys are ME an the hit reg is 50 50 at best of times with there ping. If the servers didnt have this problem i really dont think people would care what country was playing on the server.
Like people say is a game. Yes but its one that you invest your time into. So why should you have to pay money to play most of then and not get good qulity an enjoyment from such games. Just make them a server im sure is possble.
