"Client Request Disconnected" when opening Highlights

Every time I try to open, load or save a highlight, I get sent back to the log-in screen with a message saying:

“Client Request Disconnected”

I just want to save my stuff, so please help.

There was a known issue that caused this exact problem, but it was fixed back in September. It could be that it started happening again, but if it has, yours is one of the first reports we get.

Just in case, make sure that the game is up to date. If everything seems fine there, I would like some more information.

Did this start happening recently, or has it been happening for a while now? Also, what platform are you playing on?

Same problem, , game upto date, tried a scan and repair, no issues found still happens. Playing on windows 10, amd 2200g, gtx 1050 ti. Will try uninstalling and reinstalling and say if that fixes anything.
Started happening today, hasn’t happened before then and played yesterday with no issues.

edit: Back after uninstalling, reinstalling and rebooting pc. No change. I’ll just not look at highlights for now i guess. Let me know if someone figures out a fix!

Edit the 2nd: return of the edit. Am able to watch highlights again after playing a game \o/ I have no idea why

Sometimes, playing a game causes minor updates to happen, so maybe that’s what happened here. I’ll add that to our internal troubleshooting for this issue, in case someone else encounters it and this helps :slight_smile:

Problem is still going without any solution, tried uninstalling and reinstalling bnet but still nothing.

I have the same issues, but only with 1 highlight. Have a PotG from yesterday that I can’t save or even watch. Every time I do, I get disconnected. Also tried repairing and check for updates. Not working tho. Got a few more highlights today. No problem saving those tho. After saving all of those, I tried the one from yesterday again, and this time, I was actually able to change the title of it before I got dc’d.

If you uninstall and reinstall the game it should fix or reinstall the corrupted and/or missing file.

Same issue! Happened just a moment ago. The highlights loaded just fine two days ago.

I saved a couple of highlights today from some deathmatch matches while waiting in the qp queue. However, when I went to check them out, my new highlights weren’t even there, even though the game informed me on each one it had saved them. Instead, three highlights from two days ago I had saved for later were still there and when I tried to load any of them, I got disconnected with a message: “Client Requested Disconnect”.

Automatically saved highlights from qp matches loaded just fine. This seems to only affect highlights you save manually?

Logging in again doesn’t seem to work and neither does reopening the game. This is such a bummer, I had some really nice highlights from today that seem to be lost forever. :C

I’m having the same issue, everything is as described by others. The automatic highlights worked yesterday; today I saved a highlight from a custom game and now every time I click on it I get the ‘Client Requested Disconnect’ message.

yes this is happening to me too. but only with one of my hightlights. (from the haloween lab mode). i have saved potgs from that mode before, and i am pretty sure i even watched this highlight yesterday after i got it. i was able to watch and save other highlights that i got today AFTER i got the one that keeps failing, but every time i try to watch or save the other, it kicks me back to the login. if i try to put in my login info at this point it fails every time too, but if i restart the program it lets me in no problem without asking for login info (but then fails to load or save said highlight again with the same results each time). i sure hope whatever they did to fix this last time happens again this time…

I have also started to experience the same. As soon as a Highlight starts or exports, the client is disconnected. Very weird.
