Is it time to stop?! Yes, it is

I’ve been playing this game since 2016, and it has never been this bad. There’s nothing good left for me in this game.

They add new map designs that are no fun to play on. Each new character they introduce seems to ruin the game even more. Games are too fast now, and there are no more good fights. Matches that used to be long now end in 10 minutes. We used to have 2-1 or 2-3 endings in games; now it’s 0-2, 3-0, etc. This shows how poorly balanced the teams are.

They sell anything and everything they can. For example, they brought back Pink Mercy. (I know it is for charity.) Why?! They could have just released a new version and left the old one as a rare item.

They gave the game away for free, and kids didn’t miss the chance. Now, these kids report when they dislike the smallest thing, causing accounts to get banned. I have never been banned since 2016, but this year I was, and one of the stupid reasons was for damage boosting a tank. They don’t care who is right anymore, probably because there are too many reports now. These kids don’t care about losing their accounts because they got them for free and they haven’t invested in skins. But I care. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on skins, which I now regret, and I don’t want to lose them because of kids who report for fun. They use inappropriate names, and it seems like no one cares anymore.

And yes, group matchmaking is worse than ever. I solo queue as Mercy, and the game expects me to carry as a healer. I’m forced to switch to Ana or Zenyatta to get more kills than the rest of my team, and I’m sick of it. In my last 100 games, 95 of the tanks were newbies with no clue about the game, leading to constant losses. There’s no group finder anymore, and the game punishes you for playing with friends. I see a lot of smurfs, which makes it so difficult to climb up in low ranks.

What were you thinking, Blizzard team, when you decided these changes were a great idea?

If you aren’t enjoying it, then yes it is time to to stop.

It’s just a game. If it isn’t fun, don’t play it.

Thanks Roku, never thought of that.

You’re welcome. It sounded like you just needed simple advice.

I think the return of Pink Mercy is a Good thing, since it shows that the player donated for a Good Cause. The Skin is just a visual indicator of that. On the Flipside, if ppl bought Overwatch Accounts to get to the Pink Mercy Skin… those MFs totally missed the point and their accounts should get banned for Charity Fraud!

On the other Stuff, what I have concluded on regarding Overwatch 2 is that you don’t play Overwatch 2 for fun, only for progression. Now having fun playing OW1? Totally understandable, since OW1 had a better format and better reward structure (Aside of Lootboxes… remember Portrait Borders??? Account Level Progression??? Rewards per Account Level Up??) than OW2. But well just play OW2 to Battle Pass Rank 200 and take a break til the next season.
That’s what I do, since Battle Pass Ranks above 200 don’t carry over to the next season.

I don’t think so. When the original owner bought the Pink Mercy skin, his money went to the charity. After that he’s free to do whatever he wants with the skin.

I think none of the things I wrote have a positive side. I believe the new employees do not have enough knowledge of what made people love Overwatch.

Pink Mercy and skins from 2016 have been given away years later. Now, there are no rare skins left in the game, except for Widowmaker, I guess. They should have made the Rose Gold color available only. This way, people who wanted the pink skin could have had a recolored version for a good cause, and the game would still have had a rare skin.

In that I agree, would be a more decent move create a new exclusive skin rather than use an existing one…

100% agree to that statement.

Or they do, but it’s just not the same thing that you liked… Maybe.

Overwatch 2 has been one-sided since it’s release. They still haven’t fixed the one-sided matchmaking. Makes me wonder who the hell they’re employing who can’t bring balance to the matchmaker.

Overwatch for me didn’t have this issue.

It’s very very very rare for a game to be, and feel balanced.

A one sided match doesn’t mean one sided match making.

Cool story, how interesting.

Had a great game last night that felt very one sided… only to turn it round. Really fun match.

Yes it is time to stop.

They brought back this “hacked” try out again in favor of QPC… Thx Blizz :frowning:

Yeah, that’s what happens when you keep pushing all the brains behind your widely renowned state-of-the-art games, away from the company. that’s the heritage of the booby kodick. Morhaime, Metzen, Kaplan… All of them have been shooed away for the sake of the almighty, not to stand in front of his big quest, turning Blizzard into a money-milking farm. When you aim to make a good game and earn money out of it with its success, this is not what you do. This is what you do when you are a booby kodick. You don’t need skillful developers to milk money out of customers. Mediocre ones will be sufficient.

I’m not sure what the reaction is for. But games are matches on MMR not rank

Rank, in most cases closely tracks with MMR. But that’s why they have the modifiers, to keep them in the same ball park

One-sided games do suck, I agree. But it’s rarely down to match making. Something they’ve addressed in the past

they’ve addressed in the past that they were, and i say it loud and clearly, TRYING to stop Roll or get Rolled matchmaking, clearly did not do a good job.
its not that one side matches suck, they are omnipresent in this game, every single game i play, be it on gold or plat (let alone this MMR discourse) are ALL one sided, all
