This is a new thing started today, I didn’t play yesterday tho.
So a window keeps popping up a few minutes after I’m already in the game saying this.
I have updated all drivers on my system.
What is this?
Hello, Please could you add a screenshot of the error you are receiving?

Same problem here!

Edit:
A day later and it works again.
I got a different one:
Code signing violation detected!

Edit: I’m just seeing other “code signing violation” reports on other forums from like a few hours ago, again with different files, than ours, all over the place. -_-
As my other Games on Steam still work it seems that Blizzard broke something.
It is back. Great -.-

Lol, just came back exactly for this trying to login, code violation party.
I thought we had left this crap behind us Blizzard, please…
cool, our OW plans for tonight completely scrapped.
nvml.dll here
getting this error as of today’s patch, with kern3132.dll being the problem path. never had this before!
STILL getting the error. Can we please PLAY the game already?
Also I saw some other bugs were back that some dev said they were supposedly already fixed in September… did someone pull out some old broken code accidentally and “updated” with that?
Btw do we get suspensions for these “forced quits”? So I guess we have to try out in the training range first?
edit- 10 h later still bugged
can confirm - still bugged
when will this be fixed?
Same here, but a different dll: c:\windows\system32\SensApi.dll. Seems you have a seriouos problem with the dll-sections of windows! Please fix this asap! Thx!
Same here Getting this error since yd night update… ++ nvml.dll
There was an update this morning
Got so excited
Then I got the nvml.dll error again
Looks like they did not fix it

EDIT:
22 hours later still not working.
Ok Blizzard, so we (at least 2 regular team mates) and me need to look for a new game or what…?
I don’t think they care. It’s been days now. I tried to create a ticket at customer support but they blew me off. Maybe it’s time to let go… o.O
Looks like it’s going to be an OW-free weekend, same problem here now.
ok, we cannot play this whole weekend? can we EVER? wtf are you DOING Blizz?
At this point I’d pay anyone outside of Blizz running a private server $15/month just if they can actually provide this game so we can just PLAY.
Hm I didn’t expect the game to still crash.
@Blizzard, could you provide any information if you are actually looking into this or if we just need to drop Overwatch and look for other games to play instead?
Blizzard we CAN NOT PLAY. Wtf is this???
We even tried reinstalling, didnt help!
The problem for my local high school students and our local university seemed to be with SentinelOne, a cybersecurity platform. Here is the fix I used to get Overwatch working again. There are two files that were popping errors (kern3l32.dll and ntd1l.dll). If you notice in the fix below, the files Overwatch is crashing on and/or is looking for are files that have the same name as what is found on your system, but is looking for a renamed version of them with a number/letter replaced with a corresponding letter/number (as in leet speak). If you are impacted by other .dll files, try to see if copying and renaming the copied file to the one it’s looking for.
- Go to “C:/Windows/System32/”
- Find “kernel32.dll” and “ntdll.dll” and copy them to the desktop
- Rename the desktop file “kernel32.dll” to “kern3l32” (that is the letter L after the 3)
- Rename the desktop file “ntdll.dll” to “ntd1l.dll” (that is a number 1 after the D)
- Cut and paste the renamed files on your desktop back into the “C:/Windows/System32/” folder
- Overwatch should now work without any crashes.
Thanks but we don’t have Sentinel :(. We tried all kinds of stuff. Why Blizzard Support is just silent? This a serious company wtf?
