It’s ropey true, hard to enforce and far too many work arounds.
Blizz only removed them with OW2 because they weren’t forced to.
We have to keep fighting, there is solutions. Removing legendary from battlepass is the absence of solution. They should care about their players more than ever. So let’s hope they see this topic and do something about it

What a joke, even the discord quest for lootbox is unavailable for Belgium. Since when it’s paid lootbox ? At this point they dont just care anymore about Belgium, they dont even try…

Discord quest isnt linked to any battlepass, premium or free. This is just another bullsh*t from Blizzard. I can understand the logic behind blocked legendary lootbox in battlepass free or premium. Even it they should just rework the whole new lootbox system. But blocking a discord quest is just a joke really.
It’s because of the battle pass, they’ve region locked loot boxes in all modes.
The Belgian rules aren’t really about buying, they are about influencing people.
The Belgian players should get something else as an alternative. But morally they win.

Pretty much how EA got away with it in the UK. Called it a “chance mechanic”, paid the Tory government a little money and boom… case went away.
They were clueless… But it could be worse. Could be what the US has to deal with now. But thats for another discussion.

That is indeed your view. You have made that clear. My moral objection is introducing kids to gambling and gambling mechanics is gross. I’ve watched a friend take his own because of that terrible addiction. So I personally think they need to be booted into the sun.
