Overwatch 2 Log-in loop. We need help fixing this (Blizzard, please look into this ASAP!)

I had the same issue as everyone else here. I managed to fix it, so try doing this.

Remove your mobile number from battle net on the webpage… I did that after having the loop of logging in, then after removing number on website it loaded me in no issues and I didn’t even need to enter login details.

This problem still persists and I see absolutely no response from the devs to at least acknowledge it and say that they are working on it… So stupid I don’t even wanna play anymore.

Day 1 was fine for me and then day 2 tried to play with friends and this login loop has been a thing since, another friend was fine until last night and now he has the loop too. No idea what it is and tried everything people are saying here. Wonder when blizzard will realize random people are getting punished for their dumb bugs and finally fix it

Thanks for those reports, this issue is currently under investigation.

Seems removing and/or changing the registered phone number can solve the problem. It’s something you can try if not tested yet.

What’s the other workarounds to this currently? Changing/removing phone number doesn’t work for me.

That’s the current best solution? Phone numbers?.. We are doomed…

I also tried heating a pot of water to put some moisture into the air.

Can we just turn back time to yesterday? Cause it was working then.

I mean if it works for some players , good for them. Still don’t know why they don’t respond quickly or deliver a fix for this problem. People wants to play and they can’t even log in now. Before the patch (except the queue times) it was playable.

Convinced shadow banned at this point for one reason or another during the ‘DDOS attack’… This rate probably get back on with current account at the end on the month, they’ll probably set up some sort of system for people to fill out some forms and then wait.

Better off just making a new account if nothing to lose.

My phone # is removed from my blizzard account now, also I removed my playstation account off my blizzard account after these issues started this morning.

My gfs been having the same issue the past half a week. Yes blizzard I just linked, unlinked my phone number 5 times. It wont connect after everything is 100% on my end. It was working BEFORE we merged the account. Its a shame, bought the $40 watchpoint stuff & now we also get to miss the halloween store skins. I guess I will just link & unlink my number all night long bc thats obviously working for all of us

Hello everyone! Greetings from Chicago! Its currently 12:52pm Central time as im writing this message and I also am having this issue SINCE the night of the 6th of october. originally i was having issues verifying my email since it would never send me a link, but i finally got it verified this morning, THINKING THAT WAS THE ISSUE, i tried opening up OW2 again in hopes that it would bypass the log in screen (thinking that the email verification would of been the fix) just to find myself typing down the credentials and seeying them erase afterwards. I myself

-reinstalled Battlenet
-reinstalled OW2
-Verified #
-verified Email
and still nothing!
i surprisingly don’t see a lot of pedople running through this specific issue on twitter, but imm so glad i found this thread. good luck to everyone and will stay in touch!

Same problem here ive also even tried making a new account so that i can play a bit on the side till this issue gets resolved but no luck there either. Have tried to log in every day since launch and only got in once for a few hours and ever since then ive gotten to play waiting in queue simulator 2022 ;( plz fix soon. Really wanna hop in game with the boys.

Just made a new account and I’m on just like that.

Convinced won’t be seeing that other account anytime soon.

Even used the same phone # that was tied to my original account for the last decade. No issue.

It seriously worked for me, I have to go through all the tutorial stuff again though in game.

Took me less then 5 mins to make a account, already had a outlook email for work.

Soon as it said congrats on making a account I tried login in on the game with the window already opened and got right in.

I didn’t even switch over my BNET desktop app to the new account I’m playing under lol.

Dont you have to verify your number?
