I’m genji main. Paladins copied overwatch again new champion genji’s clone Koga. He can climp same genji he is ninja too and he is dragon too but he is not shimada. His voice line kgokkgkagakgkokagkkggkgkogkoggaaokg worse than Genji’s voice line I NEED HEALING. So I gonna call him badass genji
paladins devs and forum mods are kinda… unpleasant people…
also the community there is FAR more toxic then overwatche’s (hard to imagine but it is)
rather play overwatch then even starting up that trash ripoff ever again
There’s nothing original in Overwatch, except maybe the Hamster Ball. Pretty much everything else was ripped from something. Blizzard don’t come up with new ideas, they just take what’s already been done and make it super polished.
Indeed, OW is a ripoff from other games. Even ultimates are rip off’s from game cheats lol. But when other games copies something people do not like it here? Talk about hypocrisy.
care to elaborate on that…
i know of no other game like overwatch (except ripoff trash paladins)
Pls name an aspect of Overwatch and I’ll tell you where it came from.
The whole game is based on team fortress. Widow ultimate, wall hack. Soldier ultimate, aimbot. Genji shurikens, double jump, dash etc, shadow warrior/unreal. Junkrat, demoman with medic concussion jump style from tf2. Torb, engineer from tf2.
List really goes on, of course there are some differences and a few new things but they are based on other games.
Do not get me wrong, although OW is a ripoff game, that does not change it was fun. I liked it until a year ago.
Tell me where all this salt is from
I don’t noramlly agree with mercy mains but i will for this.
Overwatch did copy a lot of games.
And people can copy some aspects from games when its done with “fair use”.
Unless they copy pass genji in that game his not genji even if he shares the same ability’s. I played paladins once and that game is to stiff to even be called a copy of overwatch since the blizzard polish is what makes OW better for me.
Name any modern game and I will give you a list of earlier games with similar elements.
Name any modern piece of music and I will give you a list of similar songs.
Name any modern dish and I will give you a list of foreign dishes it was inspired by.
Grow up kids.
Not really fair to call OW a “ripoff game”. Of course ideas for cool mechanics could have been inspired by other games, but not ripped off. Jeff Kaplan himself said team fortress 2 was a huge inspiration. With your logic, every multiplayer shooter is a ripoff of quake, and quake a ripoff of Wolfenstein.
Everything is obviously a ripoff of Pong.
He did not need to say it was a huge inspiration, it is obvious. Anyone who played team fortress would see it miles away. Huge inspiration is an understatement by the way.
There is inspiration and there is outright copy paste as the ones I said earlier.
Well, to be honest, the game-modes are quite different, the ultimate mechanics are a gamechanger, and building the game with switching to counter as the foundation makes it very different.
TF2 is the inspiration. OW is quite different.
agreed!
TF2 was just as much fun in a whole other way (no wonder i put in over 8K hours hehe)
Yes, calling people kids is something very mature.
The binary sort of thinking displayed here is quite typical for kids (to me, that’s everyone under 20), and so is the apparent lack of historical reference.
And well, how does someone middle aged calling players of a game where the vast majority is, in their eyes, make them immature? I fail to see it, care to explain?
Well, let me just come out and say that this discussion(if you could even call it one) is quite stupid both in premise and in outcome.
Despite that though using terms like kids to refer to anyone under the age of 20 is at best childish and at worst a sign of someone who never really grew past using petty insults in common speech.
You are simply using it to insult people.
It’s no more an insult than “you will understand when you get older.”
Which every kid is insulted by, only to later in life realize how right the one saying it was.
