There are so many facets to smurfing…
Good Smurfs, Bad Smurfs, and False Positive Smurfs.

False Positive Smurfs are just new players with really good mechanics that get falsely accused of Smurfing.

So just trying to kill the “Bad Smurfs” , by targeting the Good and False Positive Smurf audience isn’t a solution.

Yes I certainly will hope they do. And most likely they will be doing. Can they do it in a day or a week? Most likely not. They already have punished people for false reporting. They already modified the report system a bit, its mostly a waiting game when its refined enough that they will ban you for your behaviour.

Yeah because it takes always 10 years for blizzard to fix problems. This is because we can see how they have fixed a lot already and its only a 2 year game. How is it possible that a 2 year old game has improved a lot after its release? Time machine? Time paradox?

Take League of Legends for example. That game suffers from “Bad Smurfing” a lot.
LoL has been successfully running for 10 years now.

Update:
Why is LoL so successful ? They have over 140 heroes with a ton of game play possibilities, and everything about it is done right :slight_smile:

LoL has more rampant smurfing problem ofc because its free. Free games generally have bigger smurfing problems. Yet like you said, they can be successful. Also LoL has way different ranking system.

i would argue the game is scarcely better than it was at launch… all i know is i used to have fun when there were no smurfs and everyone was on an even playing field… at launch… so no its not better and its only taken them 2 years to make it not better

A games success in the long term depends on if the game has more positives than the little negatives it has. Counter Strike, Dota 2 and League of Legends are all games that have been around for a decade.

All these 3 games have smurfing issues, but they are successful because there are tons of positives that over shadow the negatives it has. It’s simple as that.

didn’t say it wasn’t a problem, but smurfs aren’t any better because at their skill level, compared to mine they might as well be cheating

at the end of the day you don’t understand my position because you smurf, because you do it you don’t see anything wrong with it, just like how people who smoke weed don’t think it should be illegal

but to us people who only have one account and have to suffer against smurfs ruining our matches there is a problem… which you don’t see…

I already told you earlier Bada, you accusing someone for cheating when they aren’t using hack tools makes it a false report. You can get banned for excessive false reporting. So combine your false reports + the throwing reports people give your way, you’ll get banned even faster :rofl:

In the end, your just digging your own grave, and not even putting a dint on the smurf player base :smiley:

its not false… my defense is i think they’re cheating, regardless of how i think they’re cheating, the system doesnt need to know… and because its automated… it wont… so yeah im fine either way

Your definition of cheating isn’t the same as Blizzards definition.
If you need clarification, when you select the Cheating option under Report a Player, you’ll be briefed what constitutes cheating. That’s the actual definition of cheating and your definition doesn’t apply :rofl:

Bada, rules defined by a nation are hard coded rules. They are not meant for interpretation in different ways because people want to start flexing it. Blizzards states what cheating is… You can’t go around bending their terms of cheating and accuse someone of Smurfing as cheating.

Because that simply isn’t what Blizzard calls a cheater. If in the future Blizzard updates their cheating clauses, and includes suspected smurfs in that category then feel free to report them. But as long as they don’t, you’re simply false accusing someone of cheating that in turn gets you black points towards a ban.

The problem is there are so many kinds of Jacks :smiley:
Putting it in lame terms.
“Good Smurfs”, “Bad Smurfs” , “False Smurfs”.
Plus Smurfs bring money to Blizzard. I don’t think they are going to try hit all the Smurfs just to get rid of the bad smurfs.
No particular incentive to doing it. :smiley:
