Yes, calling out a tank for going rambo and losing it for us because to me, he seemed to have less MMR, as for the other people in my team, IN COMPARISON to the enemy team… Then it turned into the blaming game on your side, pointing the blame in my direction. (Which you insinuated but deny…)
^ This. Please refrain from speaking irrelevant things to the topic at hand and actually stay on topic. (As you do on most threads…)
I will come to the rescue! I was placed in a game that I shouldn’t have been in! No I’m not trolling because honestly I have better things to do but anyway… I was placed with top 500 and high master players last night.
Now you could say that it’s due to mmr adjustment but I was on a nasty and I mean nasty losing streak so I dunno what that’s about but it happened.
Yes I checked everyone’s account that didn’t have them private because I had thought what you did, that they were on a role closer to my sr. Now I was playing from about 6pm onwards and didn’t start winning til around 9pm. So within that time frame.
Take it as a learning experience, if they were legitimately much better.
You’d probably have been able to solve the problem quickly if private profiles actually gave some information or were scrapped altogether.
But I think the “out of your depth” part might be psychological. A loss streak will get to you eventually. But master, GM and T500 players are still beatable.
Agreed. I have two more wins left to get my placement but at this point I’m either staying diamond 3 or deranking again. I just didn’t belong there, these players were something else.
I’ll put £10 on you getting Diamond 2, maybe 1 at a push.
If you’re getting higher ranked players, the rank will move up with your MMR.
I get this. I play pugs most weekends with such players. Sometimes it’s a very humbling experience. Always learn from it though. Sometimes, like last weekend I get games where I steam roll them.
Your opinion doesn’t make it factual. You weren’t there to play the game, so you can’t tell the difference, just assume (As usual). But I’m telling you, out of all the games I’ve experienced throughout OW, I can tell these 3 certain games, were a complete difference in skill amongst my team vs theirs. Thus having different MMRs
Just as your assumption doesn’t make it factual. it was just a bad game for your team.
Hence why I asked to see the game and for more context.
MMR would be similar, that’s why you matched. Mistakes being made, and or people just clicking just happens.
I had a game last night where for most of it we just crushed them. Because me on Ball and the random DPS on tracer just clicked. We both played aggressively and pushed them back to spawn. No Comms, just 2 players playing the same way. Doesn’t mean we’re were more or less skilled than the enemy. (And yes, I can share the code later if you don’t believe)
It is only a never ending cycle because you never provided the information that was needed. You just called out one player and blamed them for your loss.
No, because as per normal, he provided a onesided anecdote with no evidence. Hence why I’ve asked for the game code. But you know you’re being disingenuous there.
True, and that’s a terrible idea. Nothing personal, but you shouldn’t make any judgements off one person’s biased anecdotes. If they come with scoreboard and game code, then we can work with that.
He said he’s playing in gold. I’ve been there. If you get stomped it’s because, as a team, you’ve messed up.
Comp, synergy, positioning… Many things could have gone wrong, or even all of them. It happens. As seagull showed, if happens even in the highest ranks.
If someone who claims to be gold, honestly thinks they made no mistakes… Then that’s the first problem that should be addressed. If you can’t even see your own mistakes, you shouldn’t be blaming it on others.
If one person plays perfectly in gold, they’d stand out like a sore thumb. They’d look like some Uber smurf.
