Yes yes, i know team 4 doesn’t care about console but I still feel the need to point out this problem with pharah
Pharah makes the game incredibly un-fun to play, because she forces players to play a specific role hitscan, and this may not be as big an issue for pc, but for console hitscan is hard and if you’re no good at it then it’s no fun
On one side of the coin if you’re trying to counter pharah as McCree, Soldier, or Widowmaker and you’re not that good at hitscan then you will have your entire team bashing you to “take care of the pharah” and toxicity develops
and if you need to double down on pharah counters with double hitscan then you can be more easily countered by anti-hitscan heroes (D.va, Genji, Tracer, etc.)
The big problem here is how much Pharah forces your team to play against her and it makes the game frustrating when you can’t play a hero you like because of a Pharah, this is a less extreme similarity to the hero stacking issue back in season 1 (and 2 i think)
if a team goes all Winston for instance, then your team will have to go all reapers when maybe a good majority of your team doesn’t like playing reaper you have to if you want to win.
That’s similar to pharah if you want to win against her you HAVE to go hit-scan, even if you don’t want to, and this wouldn’t be that big of a deal if there wasn’t a Pharah in every. single. game.,But there is she just doesn’t have a diverse cast of counters
Another issue that really ruins gameplay experience is if a Pharah is hovering right over you, not only is it more difficult to aim but if you’re looking at Pharah you can’t be looking at the rest of the enemy team and if you’re looking at the rest of the enemy team then you can’t be looking at Pharah, and it’s more difficult to aim because once she passes over your maximum height threshold of where you can look then you have to do a complete 180 degree turn just to be able to hit her and if she moves back then you have to do another complete turn whilst she can hit you with all the splash damage rockets she needs to until you die.
Fix your game team 4, consider all parties when making a change
