Throwers why, what's the point

It’s a totally unfair advantage. I guess I’m still to blame since 5v6 is just “Harder” -.-

It is certainly an advantage. But doesn’t mean you can’t win.

Did you maximise your value in the game? If you didn’t you can’t even worry about who was to blame. If you give up and don’t give maximum value, everything else is completely irrelevant.

I play my best to the very end, oh but it must be my fault we lost despite being 5v6. Damn man, I need to really improve, I’m losing so many games as tank, I’m so bad :’(

I have never said it is your fault.

But if you are not giving the most value to your team that you can, than anything else is irrelevant. Like you can’t blame someone making mistakes, if you are making mistakes too. Yes, they might annoy you, but you are probably annoying them just as much.

You are silver… of course you need to improve.

I’ve been there. As a bronze tank main. Now I am back to being closer to diamond.

Work on maximising your value. If you are playing Rein, chances are there will be a better pick. You might be able to out play their Rein, but if you play Orissa, Ball, Sigma you will just have the better hero then outplaying is sooo much easier.

Here is a question to ask yourself… You play a game. One of these factors happens.

  • a cheater
  • someone you think is throwing
  • a player having a bad game, making lots of mistakes.

Doesn’t matter which one you pick, but answer yourself this… “what is getting mad about it going to do?”

No offence but are you ok in the head? I was high gold, jumped down to silver and continue to lose games, why? Not my problem, I can’t control the FIVE OTHER PEOPLE in my group, I can’t carry a whole freaking team on my own. And I played like a beast in my last game as Sigma, did it matter? No. Oh but it must be my fault, I need to learn right? Even though everyone else was flaming each other and excluding me.

Work on maximizing your value… You’re acting like Overwatch is a one man freaking game. IT’S A TEAM EFFORT.

I’ve lost 5 games in a row, kids and people shouting profanity, I had one good lose because it was actually a good game, and close.

Did you play like a beast. Or is that just your opinion…

It is a team game, but you can only play one of the heroes in the team. If you are maximising your value, doing everything you can. That is all you can do. If, combined, your team does more than the enemy you will win.

But you can’t make your team do more, your can’t make the enemy do less.

You can only control you. So you do that, you will win a lot more than you lose.

I try to do that and have 62% and 65% win rates on my main supports (Ana and Zen), and 58% on Bap

76% win rates on Rein and Zarya, 66% on Ball, 78% on Sigma

Over 54% on Hanzo, 65% on Torb, 72% on Junk, although only 42% on Cree because I am not very good on him (aim is fine, just positioning seems to be terrible so working on that).

I’ve solo queued and not been in voice pretty much all season.

At no point do I blame anyone for anything. I can only worry about what I do.

Not sure if you’re trolling me but yeah.

Just won a game, as usual I’m on fire as Sigma most of the game. We won though because the team cooperated, listened to each other, and we wiped the floor with them.

You need to realise that just because games are lost, doesn’t mean you need to “Improve”. it takes a whole team to win a game, you can’t carry a team unless you’re an ultra skilled Widow / Hanzo. Overwatch is a team effort, not an individual one, no-one’s going to have 100% accuracy when playing games, not even pros have that. But they need to improve so they can get 100%? Not even possible.

One person can ruin the group and lose, that’s all it takes, there’s no "But you can still win with 1 player down, yes, granted, I’ve done it before, I never give up or leave, but you can’t be like “Oh, we lost 5v6, It was all my fault, I’m so sorry, we could have won that even with 5 but it’ll be hard” because that’s a load of rubbish, the guy that left lost us the game, not the people still in it.

Part of the problem.

One person can. But they only can if you worry about what they are doing.

If you’re so obsessed with what others are doing, and your SR you won’t improve, and not improving means you won’t climb.

Yeah you can win games without improving and gain some SR, but then you’ll get to a point where you’ll need better mechanics, and better game sense and you’ll just fall again.

The pros are constantly trying to improve. Thats why they have coaches and analysts.

But in silver most games are won/lost based on who makes the least mistakes and who manages to punish those mistakes. Most mistakes in silver go unpunished and lead people to think they are doing the right thing. Which is why they struggle against slightly better players, they will just punish 1 or 2 more mistakes, which will lead to snowballing fights and rolling games.

If I solo queue and pick Ana. I dont need to be invoice. I positing as well as I can, I pocket my tanks and go from there. I just follow their lead. You NEED the communication if you just pay attention and do the basics.

Ofcourse it’s my fault people can’t kill anything, has to always be my fault.

Only you think its your fault.

The results are irrelevant.

You are silver. That is because you are not playing well enough on a consistent basis.

Someone getting mad in game, or throwing, or leaving isn’t going to change that.

You’re attitude here i am hoping is not a sign of a pattern. If you just rant and rave in game then of course you’ll never have time to focus.

All of your replies has made that assumption.

And you’re dumb. I’ve been high gold, there’s nothing wrong with my game play.

High gold… there are many things wrong with our play lol.

I’ve never said its your fault… I’ve simple asked you if you are maximising the value of your output

You literally have no idea how I play. One person CAN’T WIN FOR 6 PEOPLE. I don’t know how else to explain it.

No. But if you’re silver gold… I have played thousands of games there. The safe assumption is that you make a lot of mistakes. Everyone in those ranks does, others wise we would be in t500 lol

I’m not interested in you winning or losing. I’m interested in if you’re maximising your value in game and if you do that consistently you’ll get the climbing you want.

Tonight on tank I’ve gone 2-4… no point worrying about others, got to go back and check what I did wrong.

You can review my games and tell me everything I did wrong if you really want.

Well, I know why on one. My projectile aim as Sigma was awful and my Zarya on attack was super rusty.

Oh I’m doing just fine thank you, want me to show you a replay? I’m guessing you’d expect some UBER HIGH DIAMOND player experience that makes 0 mistakes though.

J6MGJA

There you go. There’s a replay to show that I’m obviously not good enough and deserve to be lower than Silver…

No. Diamond players make shed loads of mistakes too.

Surprising how easy diamond tanks are to play against. Probably easier than most gold. They have more understand and do more of what you’d expect. Where are with gold/silver it is usually a clown fiesta of people doing what they think is right without actually learning from what they do.

You literally have no idea the kinda crap I deal with most games.

I’ve played enough games and climbed from bronze to diamond. Pretty sure I’ve seen the kind of “crap” you’ve dealt with. And probably worse.

Still, not going to get tilted about it.

Ill focus on playing the best I can. Just like when I play football. I focus on playing the best I can and improving every game. That way I can walk away with my head held high, no matter the result.

Personal improvement and fun are the keys.

Usually when i smurf on one of my many accs i understand why smurfs like to throw to stay in low ranks, makes sense otherwise they wouldn’t be smurfing

Because that is smurfing. Manipulation of the system.

If you were just playing normally, like a sane human, they’d be alt accounts.
