I got an email yesterday that said Recent activity on this account has shown various and continued actions deemed inappropriate for Overwatch and got perma banned instantly. I never got any mutes, temp bans or warning about my behaviour. When i try to appeal i just get the automated answer. Also my friend got temp banned who dont even write or talk in the chat. Mostly been playing qp and mystery heroes where i think people false report pretty easily.

Omg! I thought I was the only one. Same happened to me. Got a very vague email about account closure. Contacted support to find out I was cheating. I have never used or bought any cheats. And then 3 different gamer master told me politely to go F myself after trying to appeal set ban.

this account in particular has been banned permanently even though it has been inactive for about a month, im not sure how lmaoā¦

Hereās a good idea on how to not get banned: - donāt cheat.
The amount of cheaters on overwatch 2 compared to overwatch 1 is just stupid. Sorry.

Just another quick update regarding my case.
3 tickets later Blizzard still refuses to give me the reason as to why my one and only long time account (with no prior warnings or suspensions for anything) was suddenly closed permanently without a warning. Every time they just give me a completely different copy-paste automated reply, which gives me no explanation for anything, and immediately close the ticket, forcing me to create a new one with the exact same question.
Atm Iām determined to have a human finally look into my false account ban (or to give me some reason for why it even happened), but Iām honestly running out of patience now ā¦
(I have no intention of ever returning to this game anyway, since both the game and the company already sank way too low for my liking, so I donāt even care that awful much about losing all the money that Iāve spent on this account over all these years anymore, Blizzard honestly did me a favour and forcefully ended my addiction - since the overall game is still great, I love the unique characters that it has, especially Symmetra, even after the awful re-design - Iām mostly doing it out of principal at this point and to at least be given some sort of a reason as to why I even lost my account without a warning in the first place.)

Yeah same for me, they saved me from spending more money. I am way over 25 appeals and they have now began to warn me about account termination if i continue. Since they now have done a final review they wont take a look at it again ever.

Yeah, i was waiting for them to close the ticket and i sent one in instantly again. They could answer some within minutes and then some in hours and the rest in 24 hours. The final review took them a week to get back to me, then now a few appeals later they are now threatening me on a different level from before:

Offense: Violation of Customer Support Interaction Policy

The support desk must lack IQ or something. How they canāt see that this is a bit sus with the amount of players calling out theyāve got banned is beyond me.

Ikr ā¦? I wonder if anyone is still even employed there (at customer support) tbh ā¦ If itās not just 100% automated garbage and AI at this point. It honestly wouldnāt surprise me if it was ā¦ (US forums are getting more and more flooded with such posts now, despite these kinds of posts getting scrubbed constantly, but apparently not fast enough - and yet Blizzard still doesnāt seem to care to at least take a look at this strange situation).

Just wanted to give an update to my case:
Iāve pretty much given up on the idea of getting my account back as I am on my fourth ticket that got closed with each one getting one of the standard responses that everyone gotā¦
Itās so crazy that they wonāt even show us any evidence as to why we were banned, itās almost hilarious.
No matter how unlikely it may seem, maybe with Microsoft now owning Activision Blizzard some things could changeā¦ (just wishful thinking)

Same here, without any warnings or even an email. The day before i reported russian sabotage (players with Russiand letter afk, or dying on purpose) and players using aimsharp cheat to gain advantage, but i am getting banned for trying to play the game??? Blizzard games have lost all my credabilityā¦ time to play other games for good with this horrible support system.
They have no integrity. Time to uninnstall battle net and all there games.
Just because someoneās name is in cyrillics doesnāt mean theyāre russian.
Ukraine uses the cyrillic alphabet as well.

It means that you canāt see the big picture because you get hung up on the details.
I have one or two people with cyrillic names every two or three matches.
Perhaps weāre just in wildly different skill tiers and thatās why the experience is different.
(Overwatch is also a banned game in russia, so any russians playing the game are doing so illegally, according to their leadership)
