No its the way to shut up the critics that dont even play the game , i find it really sad blizz gave in to the LGBT trash community.
Don’t jump to early conclusions. Tracer being LGBT is an aftermath, not a choice right from the beginning. The lore forced her to be homosexual because the chemistry between Tracer and her lover works best.
Here’s a better question: Which hero other than Tracer would you choose as a mascot.
Remember, you want to show the world how unique your game is. Choose a hero that stands out the most and represents the game the best.
Regarding the first hero in Overwatch:
Based on game development, it’s tracer. She was the first one in the development phase to get gameplay mechanics. However, Pharah, Widow, and Reaper were developed during that time, too.
Yet if we count the concept’s of the heroes during the development, it’s more difficult to determine which hero was the first one.
Haha I am not sure about representing the game, but if I had to pick a mascot for the majority of people playing it, it sure as hell would be ADHS Junkrat.
As this game is a rip off from team fortress and other games, junk might be the first one. Demoman?
Dousn’t Reaper disobeying orders in the Blackwatch mission kickstart nearly every event in the game? Perhaps in some way that makes him the first hero in Overwatch since without him none of the current events would have taken place.
we’ve seen it so it is true but in those videos you see reaper as well as a model so maybe he was in it first
All the evidence seems to point to it being tracer so maybe they didn’t mean she wasn’t the first in game? i don’t know what you’re referencing so i can’t tell
LGBT stands for
Lesbain ,gay ,trans ,bio
and i know many people who’re part of the LGBT and they’re more awesome people than you ever be
so saying this homophobic sheet wont make you look good
The first hero mechanics wise was probably Tracer. You can see early bits of her in the development videos.
I suspect that the first hero concept art wise was Mcree because he was designed for the Starcraft game that was the precursor to Overwatch. There’s some concept art of him next to a Zergling.
There is only one community, the human being community.
The characters evolved a lot during early days, from what I have gathered. For example, Hanzo and Genji used to be just one person. So which of these came first is a bit academical question.

Hanji was also female at first.
Some characters, Tracer included, are loosely based on ones existing in Project Titan. None of them came straight out of that game though.
Please elaborate on my homophobic language that I have used within this topic or on this forum?
You seem a little bit simple, it was quite obvious that I knew what it meant from my messages but in no way was I anti LGBT and if you’re that easily offended then I feel pity for you.
Oh nice, didn’t know this existed Juggernaut with flamethrower and flail? I wonder if we’ll ever see a flamethrower in the game…
I’m against Volrex argument but I just try to understand their origins of that argument.
I think they considered your argument homophobic because you criticized the mascot for “pandering the snowflakes”. That criticism might be considered a dislike against homosexuals and thus homophobic by definition.
Yet I have to disagree. Your criticism, in my point of view, was that Blizzard is pandering to oversensitive people or a niche group. It isn’t homophobic because you referred to all niche groups, not homosexuals only.
Nonetheless, we should drop that discussion because it would derail the thread. If you want to talk about pandering, then you might as well open a separate thread.
I agree, thank you. Was a pop at blizz and not peoples sexual preferences.
Not at community members you consider to be “snowflakes” or “social justice warriors?”
Blizz panders to them, they will always exist.
The first hero in the game was Tracer. When she was first designed, she didn’t had any 3d body or any guns, so she shot laser beams from her eyes. Jeff said this in one of his videos.
They didn’t they chose to make LGBT characters because they support it and wanted to make Overwatch a diverse team of elites.
But that’s for another thread.
That word “diverse” makes me puke,
Hiring just for the sake of diversity is borderline stupid, no wonder blizzard is pooping out skill less hero after skill less hero , The real team and people that have a clue of what they are doing aint working there cuz of the sake of diversety
