And correct me if i am wrong but i am pretty sure zarya got included in the game after the horse manure LGBT community bashed overwatch.

It’s literally the concept by the “Overwatch team”. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from, if you’re the best of the best of the best, you’re on the team.

Unfortunately, I don’t share this linear and intolerant approach to life.

Yeah, I think I’ll have to take you up on that offer. There is literally no confirmation anywhere that Blizzard “gave in” as you would put it, to the LGBT for any of their characters.

There’s also no confirmation that Zarya herself is actually LGBT. All we know is that Tracer is a lesbian and there are other LGBT hereos currently in the game, but Blizzard wants to introduce that in a healthy and realistic way.

The original game was called Titan. The first heroes were based on archetypes from that, Tracer, Widow, Reaper, and HanzoGenji (who were originally one hero) were the first.

Noone hires only based on diversity. Any smart employer makes an effort to get a diverse group of employees, having the right skills.

There was no first hero in ow. There were 4 heroes that were made together. Tracer, Reaper, Phara and Widowmaker. They were the 1st 4 heroes that they worked on however tracer was the first to be worked on and used her for creating physics, animations etc

Is “sjw” in your book everyone speaking up against discrimination? Is it limited to gender- or sexuality-related injustices? Am I an “sjw” if I’m gay, or is it only straight CIS-persons who can be “sjws”? If I’m straight and CIS but have a lot of LGBT friends who get abused because of their gender or orientation, am I an “sjw” if I speak up against it?

And does “snowflake” mean I’m easily hurt, or that I’m fragile, or that I consider myself unique? Or that I’m a leftist hippie?

I feel I need like a vocabulary to know what people here mean when they toss these terms about, as most of the stuff they write just read like “I feel that my freedom of speech is 1+1=cheesecake”, and that makes it really hard to know if I should click the little heart or not.

There is no “LGBT community”. There is only the human being community. There is absolutely no meaningful difference between a gay person and a straight person. Where you put your reproductive outlet has no effect upon anything. If humanity was dangerously short on population then we’d have something to talk about but since we have urgent need to reproduce, the whole thing is frivolous and forming tribes over it is utterly illogical. The sooner you lemmings understand this, the better off humanity will be. :sweat_smile:

Tracer is gay.
There’s a gender neutral character in the comics
And there is confirmed at least 1 more character in-game who is LGBT.

I can understand the mindset of “OK with queer people but hate the ‘LGBT Community’” and it’s one that I share, for the most part, however you said this:

You were spreading misinformation and criticising the Dev’s attempt at making the game diverse which was the selling point of game and concept of the Overwatch organisation in the first place.

So, naturally, I assumed when you said “LGBT” you were refering to anyone who wasn’t straight and cis, which I probably shouldn’t have, however, in my experience, people who are intolerant (which is the approach I thought you were taking) don’t care if you consider yourself part of the community or not, they think you’re immoral and disgusting.

If I have misunderstood your stance and with whom your hatred lies, feel free to correct me and justify your comments.

Not sure where you get pedophilia from, there’s zero relation between gender dysphoria and pedophilia. And child mutilation? I’m not aware of a single country where it’s anywhere near legal to perform any kind of gender confirmation therapy on a child. Or where there isn’t a considerable amount of councelling beforehand, and years-long grace times.

Anyway, flagged your post, and this discussion has gone way of the tracks. So I’m out of it.

All I want is for people to be allowed to do whatever they want with their own bodies. Doesn’t have anything to do with morals, but with liberty.

Tracer was the first hero they created… not sure where you heard somebody say otherwise but they showed Tracer being the first hero at blizzcon and Jeff Kaplan has said it before on the forums.
