If you base “diversity” on name plates and ignore the actual achievements of the characters, then you should change your viewpoint on diversity.
Yes that is one way to look at it, yet we have military women, doctors, scientists, engineers and more in the female field, not that diverse on the male side. We have a scientist monkey and hamster, nothing else really.

Look right above here, the men are in no way not shaped after an even longer dominated male beauty standard. The reign of the muscular body has been the beauty standard for 1000s of years, while the women have had a plethora of em.

No i am saying that the only place, where both aren´t at least equal in diversity, it is not in the looks or personalities, even though the personalities are also a debate you could take. But the intelligence and professions.

Ummm… the “male beauty standard” you allude to is not a male beauty standard in women’s eyes, it’s a male power fantasy standard instead. Women (generally speaking of course, cause there are 3.7 billion or so of them) prefer soft features, big eyes and so on. Just look at all the fan fiction, it’s only “manly man” that think “muscular bearded guy” is what women want.
Besides, Junkrat ain’t muscular. He’s just skin and bones. Lucio is very middle of the road in terms of muscles. Genji has no muscles at all.^^
Basically, you have no problem with another female hero as long she doesn’t have a high profession.

The only thing they said about beauty is the fact that most female heroes have the body of a “beautiful woman” by beauty standarts. Their main argument was still diversity.
Sure, prove science and history wrong, you cannot elude the fact that women are attracted to muscles, whether you wanna admit or not, history does. That is the same as saying men have no problem with obesity either, you just see it that way.
Junkrat has drawn up biceps and triceps, a six pack and pecs, not really massively muscular, but more muscles, than skin and bones. Mostly the same for Lucio, it is just hard to differ, when you look at him next to rein or doom, who are, what would be a massive bodybuilder in comparison.
Just do a quick Google search for fanfiction drawn by women/girls. You will see what they fantasize about, and it’s not Muscly McMusclehead the bearded bald bloke.
History proves you wrong though. Before the industrial times, fat was a beauty standard because it was a sign of wealth, power and stability. The common folk hadn’t much food so most of them were very skinny. That beauty standard changed after the industrial revolution where food got accessible and more people got obese. Being skinny was now seen as healthy and good living and thus beauty standards changed.

Does this little part change the whole context of the argument? They were first talking about the difference between the physicality of each hero, proving you that they are physically diverse. They only mentioned that the women lack diversity and are built quite the same, more specifically, “to classical beauty standards”.

And i very easily proved that all the men are built quite the same, all muscular all rather tall or taller than average mostly and only one fat guy.
it is quite easy to see, that all the diverse places you have taken up, the female and male cast is if anything only equal in diversity, when it certainly isn´t in the parts, that most people mentioned, which was prof and being “The Best”.
Dude, I literally just wrote how more than a third of the human male cast is below average height. Sure, it’s not the 50% it should be, but it’s much more diverse than with the female humans.

This is what anorexic dudes look like, not broad shoulders, six pack, rather large arms and pectoral muscles. I work in the fitness industry and junk would be in great shape, on the thin side with fat yes, but fit. lucio and torb is the only male characters under the average height of their country. Only genji as the third lowest is at his country´s average height. The rest are at or much taller than the average height of their country, road and rein standing way above 2m, doom and junk in the high 1.90s and the three soldiers at 1.85 as mentioned.
So now, show me the none fit/muscular guys of overwach except hog, who even so is extremely muscular with being fat. I will wait, right now all you have proven is, that they, as i said, are about equal in the body department in overwatch.
Yeah, most male characters have an athletic body. And? The importance is shape! You can have tons of muscular men but you can still change their shape how you like, making them diverse. The same case is for the female side. All of them have an athletic body. However, mei seems stubby and moira seems slender due to their distorted shapes.
You keep sticking to statistics on paper instead of looking at asthetics and you contratict youself even more by showing that males and females in overwatch are equally diverse.
