Basically, Brigitte is op as hell.
She can really easily kill most mobility characters with a stun, and she is just really hard to kill unless you’ve trained specifically to kill brigitte.
McCree also has other abilities though, fan the hammer, roll, a good damage hitscan weapon. And McCrees stun is waaaaaay more deadly if he hits you with it, he can get off a couple of headshots or fan the hammer. All Brigitte has offensive wise is a stun and a longer mace throw. So yeah it’d make sense her cooldown is a lot faster as it’s a lot less deadly when you get hit with it.
Tracer can recall and escape. MCcree can roll and escape. Soldier can escape. Bastion can run away while healing. Mei can ice block. Moira can fade. Reaper can unload 8 rounds, go all shadowy then unleash another 8 rounds. Doomfist can escape. Lucio is at risk yeah, but it’s about time someone can consistently counter him. Genji is at risk as well, but again, about time. And while Brigitte is attacking her shield isn’t up, just lay into her after creating a bit of space. I just played a game as Tracer and survived on point for 2 minutes myself, killed Ana, Hog and Junkrat in Hanamura on my own while my team attacked head on. And we’re moaning about a stun?
Against Rein, to get close to him you have to put yourself in mortal danger, risking death to bring his shield down and leave your team with lessened support is a big risk. Getting to him also means leaving your team with lessened healing while you flank. It also means if the shield is down healers will need to focus on him to stop him dying, forcing you to play slightly differently, which I like. In a melee Rein will kill Brigitte 1v1.
Yes I will agree she is easy to play with. The same way Reaper is, point and shoot upclose. The same way Tracer is. Play Tracer for a few hours and you’ll get the hang of blipping about. The same way Moira is. The same way Sym is. The same way Solider is. The same way Rein is. Stand in front of Bastion with your shield, very difficult indeed. The other heros aren’t hugely complicated, masterfully difficult Heros to play, it’s a point and shoot game. Anyone who is half decent at a FPS will be able to pick up the controller and play well as Reaper or Soldier. Apart from Genji, Doomfist and 1 or 2 other Heros, none of them are difficult to play.
The skill is in knowing when and how to use your abilities. Knowing the maps. Judging off your enemy picks what they’re tactics are. How far you can push. When to push. What Heros compliment one another. How to play that Hero well, for example, don’t push up the middle with Tracer, flank and cause a huge distraction while your team push up the middle. Where you should be positioned during the game etc etc. No-one could just pick up a controller and immediately start killing everyone with Brigitte, I was terrible with her to begin with, but because I hadn’t played in a while and wanted to give the new Hero a shot I persevered.
Surely no-one can argue that last season was getting a bit stale? The same Hero picks. The same tactics. Over and over. I mean Brigitte hasn’t hugely changed the tactics but she does throw a wee spanner In the works which I like.
Man Brigitte is just another lame-ass hero that Bliz introduced so that little kids with no skill can kill someone.
Shield bash have 6m range, Tracer’s blink have 7m range. Tracer’s pulse pistols dont have any fall off under 11 meters. So do your homework better next time. The bigger problem is brigitte have 200 hp and 50 armor. Armor is tracers worst enemy with cc and aoe healing. Smart tracers will avoid brigitte and stay away from her atleast 10m its not about dealing damage to her its about playing around her while being safe. (And save your ideas to yourself thats why you’re barely plat.%28 acc tracer stats could be problem too.)
I mean it’s all good sharing your opinion with everyone, but just realize that as a Brig main, your opinion will obviously come with some bias.
If you want a more clearer indication of where the community stands on her, you should ask tanks mains, supports, streamers, pros, bronze players, etc, and see what the overall playerbase feels, and I have a feeling most people would not have many positive things to say about Brigitte.

Well duh she is anti dive hero, don’t dive her play something that does’t dive has range against her, if that does’t work then we have a problem.

This has nothing to do with countering at this point. the hero is overtuned and unfun to play against.

I said nearly. I intentionally put “nearly” there because I knew people would react with pharah if I didn’t just to feel good but people still do it - no matter what because people simply can’t read.
It’s a social forum, I’ll share my opinions how and when I please. And yes I am 2600 in Plat, I play the game once or twice a week. That comment is quite rich coming from someone who is barely out of Plat, wind your neck in.
Then don’t shame people like “I guess thats why you’re silver…” and we have %25 player base between us in that 500 sr. (And if you’re not Bloodartist why do you even answer?)
Her pick rate in all tiers has dropped the last few weeks, and yeah to you she’s an anti everything hero.

11th spot in GM (2.87%).
8th spot in Masters (4.01%).
9th spot in Diamond (4.62%).
8th spot in Platinum (4.70%).
6th spot in Gold, Silver (4.88%, 4.63%).
11th spot in Bronze (3.66%).
From what if seen those pro streamers are to stuborn to adapt and keep playing Tracer even though they keep getting one hit combo’d every time.
When u have a guy that is gold every season , then all of the sudden you see hes grandmaster because of briggite. as a guy who is good and invested a lot of time in improving being the best , yes of course you will wanna bash your screen in.

Nerv there aren’t any people gone from gold to GM playing Brig. Don’t BS here please. She simply isn’t a hero that you can carry with past a level like high plat. She’ll just be hard countered by most ranged heroes.
