So two days ago my game started disconnecting on every launch. When I launch it freezes for a few seconds but unfreezes just before disconnecting.I have done the rounds of “what to do in case of disconnecting” in vain. Somebody help me I don’t wanna go back to fortnite:disappointed_relieved:

I did them already and just did them again. No change. reinstalled … no change

Running? No. There’s only discord which I always made sure to deactivate even before this problem started occurring. If I may add…for the past two days the game does connect but only after 11pm CEST. And if I close it after it connects, it won’t connect if I launch it again after.
Same thing happens to me. Starting yesterday every 2 games one gets disconnected “lost connection to game server”

I’ve had the same for about 4-5 ish days. I will just have a game where my character keeps going the direction i last went and everyone will stop and then disconnect me. I know I have a stable internet connection at the time as I was on discord talking through it all.

I have the same exact issue as described here. My hero keeps auto-walking in the same direction until I finally lose connection to the game server and drop back to the main menu. My ping does not fluctuate nor do I have any bandwidth demanding services or programs running in the background. It only started happening today in ranked queue on the EU realm. I believe I queued for around 10 matches today and I dropped out of 3 so far. Which sucks because of the massive penalty and the SR loss.
Weirdly enough it happened to 2-3 other people in the same game as well. As soon as I rejoined the match after Alt+F4ing the Client people asked “What just happened? Did anyone else disconnect suddenly?” Enemies and team mates experienced the same exact issue as I did.
I don’t know what to make of it.
Am I save to queue ranked today, Blizzard? Or shall I hold on for a couple of days until these miraculous disconnect issues are resolved? Losing 150 SR and letting down my team mates again and again feels pretty crappy.

I have the same problem and it has caused me ALOT of sr drop and imo its pretty ridiculous that there isnt a system that you can connect back to the game in a certain period of time without losing sr
Just lost a ranked game because I got DC’d before the round started. Logged back on to a loss, I got a 8 min suspension, lost a ton of sr and probably got reported considering the mood before it happened. Good stuff, not only does the game screw me over by DC’ing me, but it also punishes me for it. Solid design, 10 out of 10.

The problem is not local, we have the same problem with my friends, different locations, different internet providers, different computer setups, especially when we are playing Arcade Mode. Sometimes our connection is lost instantly, sometimes our screen becomes black as it is and our heroes being pulled backwards (there is a link to Overwatch in the lower right corner of the screen) finally we can’t even disconnected from the game (not game server) we have force to use alt + f4.

same here for 2-3 weeks this problem . playing blizzard games Wow ow d3 avarage i get dc instant 3 or 4 times in a day in 10 hours prio problem is launcher nothing else game is fine pings is fine problem is only BATTLE NET LAUNCHER try to fix launcher not games games runing fine admins
tell to ur battle net launcher departman this problem is causing by this not games sry my english awfull

Yo all. Well same stuff is here too. I am getting to reconnect screen in a mid of a game, but ma friend just lose connection in random scenario(any match) and it is getting annoying to play… 2 different PC with different setup, but the problem is the same. AND it started just with high ping (2 or 3 weeks ago) from 50-60ms to 90-100ms.
PLZ Blizzard FIX your servers!
So, to reply to my original comment: It just happened again.
Even my buddy and several other people lagged (we had the walking/running animation while being randomly pushed in any old direction). Then we got the message “Lost Connection to the Game Server” and we had to Alt+F4 the game and close down the Battle-net Client to be able to even reconnect to the Battle-net itself. The auto-reconnect didn’t work. After we got back into the game we lost the 2nd and 3rd round already. Again, this is unacceptable, especially in Competitive play since we actually had a decent chance of winning this but got robbed of it because of instability issues on Blizzards side.
Don’t link me any of the standard issue articles with nonsense like “make sure your drivers are up to date” or “make sure to reset your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds” or “did you try flushing your DNS”. I don’t wanna hear it. You damn well know it’s not any of that if 3-4 people in a match encountered the same exact issue - again.
Please, I just wanna play the game.

This issue is 100000% a problem with blizzard it is a world wide known fact that Overwatch tends to just randomly disconnect when you have absolutely no problem with your internet connection…
I am surprised that it goes for almost a year and blizzard isn’t aware of this issue and hasn’t done anything to fix it.

Loose my raiting and get banned.

I have the same problem mentioned by JaZ above.
BTW, I also have a ‘balticom’ lv provider. Maybe this is the reason.
The only thing this provider cares about is advertisements, really >:(
