diamond in OW1 → after 7 straight wins i get bronze 5, after another 7 straight wins i get bronze 5 like tf…
not even mentioning that every single tank is absolute monster overpower, huge queues, constant disconnects everywhere, no answers from blizz whatsoever.

This “soft mmr” reset is basically them saying that they have massively misunderstood the code behind mmr, and how to alter it. They have completely broken the ranking system.
I’ve literally just come here to report this same issue it’s so infuriating I’ve just gone 14-2 wins and still bronze 5
Still no comment from the Blizzard team, no announcements of known issues/their solutions to them on these forums 
Nope, I’ve been checking for hours and looking on Reddit too there is others all with the same Bronze 5 lockdown.
Yea. I’m in bronze 5 aswell. Next 7 matches, 1 loss - still Bronze 5. I often get most kills, least deaths and I’m doing the objective etc… Played with a friend the last seven matches. He ranked up to bronze 2 while I’m stuck. I have no clue whats going on.

There is a surpising lack of Blizzard responses on the tech forum.
They just don’t seem to have any support responses at all following launch.
There was no “soft reset” it was just adjusted.
If you were high in 1 and low in 2, the chances are some of that is dude to your SR being inflated well above your MMR in OW1, and now you are much closer to where you should be.
I went from the gold/plat border to Silver 1/Gold 5. No big deal. Your ability to climb from there is based more on your performance than your results. You can win 7 and drop divisions.
If you feel you were genuinely diamond, then you will be able to perform and win games fairly consistently, and hopefully jump multiple divisions in one 7 win adjustment.
I feel like you’re missing the issue here, to win 14+ games with only 1-2 losses and still be stuck in the lowest bracket something isn’t right there and needs addressing. There is many online having the same bug at the minute.
That’s because you’re not performing above that level.
You get a review after 7 wins, or 20 losses. This doesn’t mean you are certain of going up or down.
If you’re winning but getting carried, you shouldnt get boosted.
Everyone cried about smurfs boosted players and derankers. Well, now this way none of that really matters in terms of ranks. Just what you bring to the table.
If you genuinely think you’re popping off and don’t deserve to be there, then keep going you won’t be there for long if you’re consistently doing it.
If that was the case then, yes, you’d be correct, however I’ve been hard carrying these games with consistent top numbers, great KDA and rolling the games with the people I’m matched with to the point it’s not even enjoyable. That’s not me bragging but trying to explain how and why I believe the system isn’t working as intended.
Don’t be offended, but I’ll take that with a pinch of salt because if you’ve won 7 and not moved division, then clearly you’re not doing quite what you think you are.
Obviously, the system could be totally fudged… but I highly doubt it when it’s working for everyone else.
But, without the context of seeing games and stats it’s hard to tell.
Take it with as much salt as you want but it’s the truth and it’s affecting me and others so whilst you and many others are unaffected please stop trying to dismiss an issue we’d like resolved without knowing the facts and stats yourself as you say.
Very common defect. Hopefully when they fix the defect they’ll review all previous progress and replace you back to the rank you should be in!

It isn’t a defect, showing you are one of many that haven’t figured out what the new system is about.
It is about you. Not team. You need to keep performing, even in defeat, to climb. You can win 7 and still derank.
Without knowing your stats or seeing the games, this is merely an anecdote.
There isn’t anything wrong, you are just expecting something similar to the old system. Which it just isn’t.
It is a defect though. there are even grandmasters that get placed in bronze 5. It´s insane. and it affects an insane amount of people, look it up anywhere. ive noticed in games too that the skill people have in my games are to much non-consistent. like, we can have an Ashe that has the aim of a god and a phara that doesnt know she can fly and goes in alone to solo soldier and cass. Its not normal. There are players from all skill divisions in bronze right now. Its not a question if this is a bug or not, it is.
I saw a GM Mercy OTP get it… That is deserved.
have seen the person play, its definitely not deserved. they could have reset the ranks at that would be fine, they didnt do that, they did this instead. whatever this even means. sad really because i like the game
