Your matchmaking practise should be illegal

I hope everyone who designed/approved/implemented the system that puts you into unwinnable matches after a win streak to create artificial highs/lows…. (insert curse here).
I Went on my first win streak after reinstalling and right on cue I get tanks that are literally called “ruinedyourgame” and are throwing the match, and no its not that I got put into matches above my skill level like some people will try to claim, my tanks are actually called “RUINEDYOURGAME” and making the games unwinnable standing in spawn and refusing to play/feeding etc etc… About 4/5 games after this win streak has had tanks that people were questioning if they are bots or not. Blizzard knows damn well that these tanks are downranking and/or are actually bots and pairs you with them because you won too many games in a row and needs to keep you “wanting more” my team are calling out these tanks aswell not just me. This is not a bad roll of the dice or getting put in matches out of my league. You CANNOT win games that have tanks that are actively throwing and you are purposefully paired with them after win streaks to create artifical highs/low its disgusting. Also the rank is irrelevant because I have seen this talked about in all ranks.

I will not be phased by any gaslighting or “git gud” comments either, I know that a tank called “ruinedyourgame” refusing to play is not a skill issue on my part.

You know it only looks at MMR (then ping, groups and how long you’re in the queue for) right?

It has no access to your match records, stats or anything like that.

I’m also not sure how it’s even remotely responsible for one scummy player throwing a game.

I think what’s happened is you’ve had some bad games, and are rightly annoyed. The match maker isn’t responsible for the pain, the actions of all players in the game are.

The matchmaking is 100% directly responsible.

It wasn’t one player was it ? like I said, about 4 of the immediate games after a large win streak had imposters and it happens every single time after a large enough win streak.

The matchmaking DOES know that those players are a handicap to the team. It is not a coincidence when it matches you with these throwers/bots EVERY single time you go on a large win streak.

There is definitely some scummy people involved, but those scummy people extend beyond just the people in the match.

I believe I am actually talking to one of the scum involved in glossing over Blizzards foul practises right now ! considering I looked at your posts and one of the very first posts I read was you gaslighting and implying mental conditions on somebody who mentioned “secret moderators”, don’t even try and play that game with me.

I predicted your arrival in my OP.

If you genuinely believe the match maker is responsible for player behaviour… you are already lost.

You seem a little too angry to converse sensibly with. Remember. It is just a video game. There are no “scummy practices”. Blizzard doesn’t care enough for that.

Sounds a little paranoid…

It doesn’t, it has no access to anything about the player other than their MMR (and if they are in a group). So yes, it is purely a coincidence.

Why can’t a thread like this just be “this plank of a player is throwing games, can Blizzard effectively manage people who are deliberately ruining games”. Rather than unhelpfully blaming it on something that isn’t even involved.

Don’t even try…

MATCHMAKING UPDATES

  • When a player is currently on a loss streak, the matchmaker will try to avoid putting the player on a team that is statistically calculated to have a lower chance of winning.

Blizzard themselves admit the matchmaker does track more than that and specifically can and does track loss streaks….

Have correct information before you try and gaslight me, thanks

You know that is literally a placebo patch note right. They’ve already said it has no access, thus this won’t be possible.

It is purely there to change mindsets.

I can’t stand this guy, as with all Twitch streamers, their personalities are grating… But here are devs talking about match making. Best bit is the mocking of the “forced” results conspiracy.

h ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxu0ik3Vlf8

You and Blizzard are full of ****

Well someone didn’t watch the video. Watch it. Absorb it. Then crack on.

Also. I prefer to criticise Blizzard for their actually dumb decisions. The game has enough of them without needed to resort to weirdly blaming the match maker for things it doesn’t do.

Maybe this explains it. Players attacking each other, rather than working together to achieve the objective (win games) does seem to be far too common behaviour. This lead to games being one sided… If a player is already crying at others calling them bad and whatever… that could lead to them falsely thinking the game did it deliberately… Rather than realising they were the problem all along. Maybe.

No amount of blabbing from you or a twitch streamer is going to take away the evidence of match fixing that is consistent, observable and witnessed by many.

Win too many games and the matchmaker pairs you with players that it knows are going to be a handicap.

Nobody is saying the matchmaker is controlling player behaviour, what it is doing, is pairing you with players it knows have undesirable behaviour after large win streaks.

This is fully observable and consistent, unlike you, very inconsistent with facts, then say “oh they lied, it was a placebo patch note”… do 1

It is literally 2 devs talking about it. The streamer is just annoyingly there.

No it doesn’t.

It has no idea about behaviour. It isn’t that smart.

I think you give the match maker far too much credit. And getting angry about it isn’t worth your time or energy. It is just a video game, and the systems aren’t going to change because of some tears.

Ye ? well the devs are definitely not trustworthy either.
They lied in the patch note remember, you said so yourself.

It doesn’t take skynet level AI to figure out which players are consistently a hinderance.

It doesn’t, true. The match maker is just a basic number matcher. It doesn’t do a lot.

See, if you’d of said some peoples MMR might be out of sync… I’d whole heartedly agree. Same with if you’d of said some peoples behaviour in game is totally unacceptable and they need to be dealt with faster. But blaming the match maker is just a big “lol”

Not being able or willing to see obvious and consistent patterns to me is a bigger LOL, but I suspect you do see it and this is merely deflection.

I see the patterns. But I know they are merely coincidental. A proper statistical analysis of games would suggest that too. Which is something they constantly do.

If games go to poop, I look at what I did first (unless there is someone clearly throwing, at which point I accept the L, report and move on).

yes, there is many games that I know I played like **** but that is not what I am complaining about. Those players that “clearly” throw the game magically appear on your team after large win streaks, every, single, time.

It is soo obvious that it is insulting.

That is a coincidence.

It isn’t surprising that you only remember the times when it happens in a negative context.

It is as much a coincidence as shills and gaslighters appearing whenever it’s mentioned to deflect.

No. The people you inaccurately insult are actually just right.

You don’t have to like it, and if you want to subscribe to a conspiracy theory, you do you.

But to end this, as it is clear you are lost, Blizzard are not messing with your games. They don’t care who you are, they don’t care if you win or lose. All they care about is 1, are you play and 2, are you buying things. After that, you and I are utterly meaningless to them.

I 100% agree with this, which is why this system is in place. It creates artificial highs/lows to make people want to play more. It is a predatory, game psychology trick.

They are not messing with just my games personally no and I dont think that

You really are just tilted and confused. lol

Good luck to you, try playing with a calm mind. It helps.
