I have an issue too but it doesn’t say anything about maintenance. Do the patches go in the game automatically or do I have to install the patches? The message I get says to close the client, patch from the launcher and restart - but I don’t know what this means. I have no idea what the client, or launcher are.

Can confirm FIX:

Delete StarCraft II Public Test.exe and it will work!

Thank you this worked after much testing! remove “StarCraft II Public Test.exe” from the Starcraft folder

Same issue. Deleted Starcraft II Public Test.exe, reinstalled, did it again, and no results. If I have to spend 2 hours prowling around forums just to get a consumer product to work, with zero results, I suspect the consumer product isn’t worth my time. I’ll waste my time doing something else.

I also deleted file StarCraft II Public Test.exe and it worked. i no longer get message, “Battlenet server down for maintenance”.
