Game doesnt launch since the new patch? anyone else?

Same here. It’s very annoying to say the least. All other Blizzard games seem to work normal.

me too, very annoying!.. Waiting for a new patch :unamused:

Definitely SC2. My last windows update was 7 days ago, and it wont launch now, after the patch in SC2.

What baffles me is the silence, and regular bla bla go through steps you probably already did.

yeah it’s hard to tell if we are being heared or not? Maybe blizzard assumes we all have to go trough step 1-10 or smth to fix this when clearly only a hotfix pushed from the game devs can fix our problems lol

HI,

had the same issue. But the game starts after 3-4 mins after the progress window.
Repair of the installation has ne effect.

same delay when starting sc2 editor aswell :+1:

I have the exact same problem. After like 5 min I log in. Please fix it!

They don’t even care at this point. I doubt there is single developer assigned for sc2. No comments, not a single asnwer in this thread that would acknowledge that this is actually a problem…

Hi everyone! We’ve been seeing a lot of your reports and been investigating the issues causing it, we don’t yet know the cause or have a fix right now, but as soon as we do I will be able to update you.

Sorry you have been in the dark the last few days on this matter.

Hi, ive been playing for awhile, and had no issues on exact macbook, but then after last update it just takes forever to launch game, I tried alot of fixes mentioned in topics, also reinstalled. Nothing worked, now I just sat and forgot about the game, and it just randomly started. I did press the play button, and it just keeps showing that loading thing. After 25 minutes or so, it just randomly started and worked like a charm, but I am not gonna wait 25 minutes every time for the game to start… Any fixes for this? playing on macbook air.

I presume SC2 got infected by Coronavirus. Same problem here. Please help blizzard

I’ve had apparent success by changing to windowed borderless via the Nvidia controls. Maybe that helps?

Can’t play SC2 at all now, crashes every time immediately after logging in since the last update. @blizzard if it clearly doesn’t work and causes lots of problems after an update - roll it back to the previous version! Cannot play the game that I’ve paid for.

Same here, just updated today to 4.12.1.80188 and logins on battlenet but not SC2, it ask you again for credentials, you put it and it doesn’t give you an error just ask again for credentials, a similar issue happened before:

battlenet loads fine ,just stuck on password and credentials when starting sc2
correct details ,entered

I’m experiencing this issue too, straight after the patch it would take 15+ mins to start, now that window with a green bar only shows for several seconds, but it’s still pretty annoying compared to how snappy it was before. Did you add new DRM to the game in the latest patch?

You claim the key to your Blizzard Account (which is a form of DRM), so nothing was changed in that respect.

The investigation is still ongoing but things seem better than right after the patch now? Are you all getting this “green bar”?

Having the same issue…it says “game is running” on the battle.net app but nothing happens even after waiting forever…after awhile the “launching…” button becomes “play” again (but there’s still the grey “game is running” text). I tried hitting the play button again didn’t work. Also tried leaving it alone and didn’t work either.

I’m on MacOS Catalina.

yes my game starts normally now again with the new new patch!
everything is back to normal. i can play the game normally now.
thank you

I am still getting the same issue… :frowning:
