Can not start the game (stuck on "lion's head gate")

Hello everyone,
I have the problem stated in the title. Other people also posted about this same problem in the last few years, but as far as I know, noone came up with a solution.
The game does not start past the lion’s gate screen, no mouse courser, no sound.
I tried the following things, which all did not change anything:

  1. Restarting my PC
  2. Restarting my Router
  3. Connecting to another Wifi
  4. Running everything as administrator
  5. Completely deactivating both my firewall and my antivirus
  6. Flushing DNS Cache and network config (https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/82450)
  7. Completely uninstalling all WC3 and battle.net from my PC and reinstalling everything
  8. Scan & Repair a couple of times
  9. Updated my Nvidea drivers and my Windows 10 to the latest patch
  10. Switching DNS to the google public one
  11. Forcing the game to start in windowed mode by command
  12. Contacting Blizzard support (It just got marked as “Resolved” lmao)
  13. Trying to invend time travel to go to pre-Reforged times

Did somebody who had this problem come up with a solution? There is no solution which I can find online. I am open to ideas of things which I could try to solve this

dont worry …blizzard is just trash, all cool, nothing new.
I guess it take waaaaay too much brain to post a banner that " we are working on that issue" or some shit like that …no just keep silent, its sad to see how my favorite game company turned into a complete trash that can’t handle a minor thing like that one.

Did you ever solve this ? Been a few months for me too and can’t figure it

I’m experiencing the same issue and don’t have a solution, yet, but I created a new user account (on Windows), to test it out, and it works fine on that account.

What I noticed is that, on that new account, the game starts, gets to the lion gate, at which point, my firewall asks me if I want to allow BlizzardBrowser.exe to access the internet. On my main user account, the game is unable to initialize the BlizzardBrowser.exe and that’s why it gets stuck.

Well, I figured out why my game is getting stuck on the lion’s head, but I doubt it’s going to be of much use to anyone else.

In my case, it’s because I’ve moved the user folder from C:\Users to another location and use a symbolic link to point to it.
