I bought the game, played it twice, and couldn’t launch it for the whole week. Yes, it crashed when I tried to play it on a monitor, but everything was okay playing it on my laptop.

Fix coming up soon imo
Version name 1.36.2.21500 got updated today on blizztrack(dot)com(slash)view(slash)w3d?type=versions , (updated at 2:18 AM GMT+2) that is a sign

Hope so. But the new version of w3 does not mean it contains fix for mac os. Because seems like the problem is inside the launcher

Using battle.net BETA also does not work for launching WC3. I tried to launch the PTR version. It launched but is still not playable. Blizzard ripped me off.

The support is not providing any guidance. Just told me I am not getting a refund, when I asked for it.

Same issue for me.

When I look at my Warcraft III app located in /Applications/Warcraft III/retail/x86_64/ the issue becomes pretty obvious. It’s Zero K in size. Did Blizz send out some kind of failed update to all Mac accounts?

Could it have something to do with a move to Apple Silicon? How many of you with this issue are using Apple M1 (or greater) chip set?

So I uninstalled Warcraft III via BattleNet.
Then binned the folder left behind just to make sure.
Then I ran an install. It downloaded 27.67GB.

It all seems to be just data. The “retail” folder that previously held the game app plus libraries (I assume) was created but is completely empty. Yes, as of now we have NO Warcraft III application. The assumption is we are getting some refresh of the whole game. Warcraft III Re-Reforged if you will.
