Just FYI folks, they corrected the new patch ā2.0ā version naming back to a more normal one. Manage expectations

I restored the retail folder using Time Machine which allows you to restore individual folders or files. The game launches but there is a dialog window which wonāt let me proceed because it detects Iām running an older version. Also tried restoring the Warcraft III folder but was stuck in the same screen. Anybody knows how to patch x86 code so we can remove the dialog window?

At least thereās comfort in knowing everyone here is in the same boat. Feels like being in the 50% of people that got turned into dust in infinity war.
The only thing I can think is that they rolled out an update to both platforms (pc & mac) to solve a bigger problem with PC that means it needs to remain. And therefore they canāt rollback on Mac because thereās elements that would be incompatible.
Just a guess. But @Blizzard please sort this shit out

The same problem here! I donāt want to play via parallels or cross-over! Donāt want to spend additional money to overpass problem that company that sold this product created. Blizzard are you there?

Imagine having such a lack of respect for your own intellectual property and player base, to release a patch that bricks the game on an entire OS, and to not provide any updates to your customers 20 days after the incident. Iām convinced there is no one left at Blizzard that knows how beloved WC3 is to this day. Please, for the love of all thatās holy, care about your product, assign a senior developer, and resolve the issue.

Unfortunately, any requests are meaninglessāBlizzard doesnāt care how much you love this game. Your words are no different from those of other users who reported this issue a week ago or right when the game broke. If you genuinely want to do something that could influence the situation, gather information and evidence showing that Blizzard has abandoned the Mac version and is focusing solely on the Windows version. Submit it to Microsoft or organizations involved in antitrust activities, and maybe youāll get somewhere. Otherwise, I can only suggest you save your energy and wait for the developers to provide an update.
