still not working…
I got a reply after sending refund request.
I’m very sorry to be the bearer of bad news in this case, but as of now, warcraft 3 is no longer supported by MAC OS. I understand that this is such a terrible news for a long time player such as yourself.

Is that really true? Why drop support for macOS after more than 20 years, especially without an official announcement and when it was running fine before?
Well, supporting the Mac version requires a lot of resources but gives no return; it’s probably too expensive to maintain. Besides, the passive Mac community won’t do anything except complain and talk about how much they love the game and how unfairly they were treated, and so on.
How are you making excuses for them? There’s literally a banner in the Battle.net app that says they are actively looking for a fix, then they supposedly tell a single person through a support ticket that they don’t support macOS. How is that a proper, acceptable way to remove support for a platform? It’s just this one patch that bricked the whole platform, but it’s been working pretty well for years before that.
I don’t even know what to say. I wrote to support and will wait for a response on this. Am I making excuses for them? I hate them, but I also hate the repetitive whining—it’s like being on a bot farm with the most naive bots. I get that it’s hard for everyone and that this is your favorite game, but Blizzard isn’t going to fix the bug or reconsider support just because of complaints. You’re either profitable to them, or you’re not. And if you can’t deal with your own whining, maybe see a therapist.
I support any desire to show that the community cares, that the Mac target audience is active and large enough. But what most players are doing is over the top for me.
Yes, you are, because you are hypothesizing on why it isn’t being fixed with no proof. You have no clue if it requires a lot of resources to support or not, since you don’t have access to the code or infrastructure. In addition, if they made a single post or update stating their plans for the fix, or even a “Lol, sorry guys, this issue is really difficult to fix, we’ll probably fail forward with a fix in v2.0”, then the frustration in this thread would subside.
What makes you think that the Mac version of WC3 is less profitable than the Windows version?
I agree. The biggest incompetency in the context of this issue is not even the technically incompetency (rollback and emergency procedures are common sense in cloud operations)… the biggest issue is not communicating with your customer base. The sticky post with closed comments which has not been updated since 4 weeks proofs this.
They wrote to me: " I am sorry to hear that you are still experiencing the same issue.
Mac support will be restore, but it might take several weeks.
If you need help with anything else, do not hesitate to submit a new query.
We wish you the best of luck in Azeroth!"
Here we go again, another weekend coming up with no wc3 in perspective.
not days, a month now…
Microsoft-Blizzard, hire a wizard and fix the game!
Please give us a sign , that someone is actually doing something on fixing this
They are not prepared!
I messaged them and they said they will not be removing the game from Mac and that they are just taking a long time
“ Greetings
Thank you for reaching out to the Blizzard family. This is Game Master Uguligumya.
From what you mentioned, I can see that you’re having an issue with Warcraft III. I appreciate you reaching out! I’ve got all the information you need right here to help make this process as smooth as possible.
Looking into this, I assure that the game will not be removed from the mac at all, it’s a known issue that we are currently working on to provide a fix as soon as possible. Sadly, we don’t have an ETA on when the issue will be fixed. But, it’s being looked into by the developers: ”
At least they have responded that means that everyone can stop sooking and relax
How cool it is to buy a game that simply doesn’t work. If YOU KNOW THERE’S A PROBLEM, why the duck you didn’t put that banner before I’ve paid ?
Greedy companies
i am still waiting and missing the game
