Hey there, casual RTS enjoyer and Warcraft appreciator here,
It seems like Blizzard have decided to remove ‘game speed’ option from ‘settings’ menu. I like to replay game story mode from time to time and learn things about units in battles and how to micromanage units.
‘Game speed’ was a great option for people who’re learning how to play RTS and WC3 in general, it made animations and game flow slower compare to normal speed, that really helped to play at a comfortable pace for me.
I decided to bring this topic to conversation and highlight it, so that maybe Blizzard would see it and would bring ‘game speed’ option back, I’m sure that there’re plenty of casual RTS folks out there who’re gonna miss this feature.

Hello! My 7 y.o. son plays under my guidance the TFT campaign and yesterday we encountered the same problem: fast game speed by default and no option to change it. Today I’ve taken chances and tried - and + buttons on the keyboard. And it worked! Can play again at slow speed!

Please bring back game speed option for single player campaign mode!!
This is ridiculous and wholly unacceptable.
Game Speed is a critical “Accessibility” setting to make sure that neurodivergent players (the fancy PC word for those with mental illness, brain injuries, and other malady) have equal access to gameplay. Sometimes regular folks just want to chill, too.
I was under the understanding Blizzard had hired an Accessibility Editor onto staff to help keep compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act. This was a definite whiff by Blizzard that reeks of bigotry and discrimination. Blizzard doesn’t even care enough to mention this in patch notes somewhere.
Accessibility and Disability issues are always on the rear burner… until it happens to you. Life can change in a split second, and for disabled consumers its a whole other world of pain and suffering.
Removing the Gameplay Speed, a previously functioning feature, with no explanation is totally bogus and uncool.
Gross.
