W3 2.0 doesn't work on MAC :D

Just dropping this but, I have the same issue and I have an Intel Mac (I feel outdated seeing these threads). Same issue, error 6:9 followed by perpetual login.

Good morning, and thank you for your responses!

Our developers continue to work on a fix for this issue for the MAC client encountering an error on login, and we hope to have a correction soon.

is there any kind of time frame?

This is probably one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. It feels like there’s no real team behind this, just a single person without much knowledge handling the issue. I feel scammed. It’s been nearly two months, and I still can’t play.

They work second month on fixes?
Your post didn’t give community any info.
Are you sure your team can test any fixes before release??
Is the company expecting a class-action lawsuit from the community?

If there ever was a time where developers were forced to work through the weekend until all critical issues were fully resolved, this is it.

Any time frames please?

The “Team” has been fixing the issue with launching on MAC OS almost 2 months already, and still there is no hint delivered on when it will be fixed. Only soons-soons-soons. Such a cheap answer, worse than simple silence. If 2 months is a soon (in case of course if the issue will be resolved actually in 2 months, what is not happening obviously), then it’s an intentional misleading.

Such a big company should be very precise when delivering any messages about fixing the technical issues of the game for which thousands of people have PAID MONEY to play eventually the BROKEN product. Not saying that 2 month to fix LAUNCHING problem of the game, which has been previously more or less at least working on MAC-s (with dozen of lags and bugs especially in MENU)

Why isn’t there at least a banner in the Battle.net app indicating that there is a critical issue affecting all users on a platform from getting into the game? Yet you STILL are selling copies of the said game with full knowledge that it does not work. This is gross neglect and abuse of consumers, and is an outright scam.

This fixing takes tooo much time.
At this point I suspect smth like

if (RuntimeInformation.IsOSPlatform(OSPlatform.OSX))
{
    showFakeError()
}

Just curious, has anyone posted a tech support ticket for this?

It’s kinda hilarious to me how Blizz team can’t/won’t just revert it to the working version. Like… things happen but come on… this? :smiley:

Below’s a message from a GM, basically don’t hold your breath guys. cya next month lol…

I’ve investiagted this deeply and I must inform you that we are rolling out an emergency hotfix today in order to provide a solution that will make everyone able to play the game without problems. However, kindly note that this can lead some players on Mac not being able to access the game for about a month. We know this is inconvenient and we truly apologizefor the disruption this can cause but I hope you can appreciate our good intentions behind this, and we greatly appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to fix it.

whats this? Source?

The company is being run these days by another bunch of so called woke fem left LGBT+ activists, who usually overconfident and lack any grain of basic logic. So there is no sense in any questions to those bunch of mo…s. In best case they will answer that they are aware that SOME of Mac users (not all, as in fact btw) are experiencing the problem with the game and they will fix it SOON. But soon has been ongoing already almost for 2 months. So the conclusion is plain obvious. We need to make a collective plaintiff settlement lawsuit against those corporate clowns. That’s the only solution.

The response from a support ticket I made

I created a ticket to Support and here is the answer.

Hello,
In an effort to resolve these unexpected situations with the install/patching issues in your Battle.net Game, we’ve developed this extensive troubleshooting so that you can get back into your game as soon as possible!
To resolve any outstanding situations, we ask that you try the following steps outlined in these articles:

  1. Restart Your computer and Router/Modem: Sometimes, a simple restart of your networking equipment can resolve connection issues.
  2. Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Make sure that your firewall or antivirus software isn’t blocking Blizzard’s games or services. You may need to add exceptions for Blizzard’s executables or ports.
  3. Disable Background Applications: Close unnecessary background applications, as they might interfere with Battle.net Games. Check for any resource-intensive programs running in the background and close them before launching the game.
  4. Flush your DNS cache and reset your network configuration. You can do this by opening the Command Prompt (on Windows) or Terminal (on macOS)
  5. Reinstall the Battle.net App: Uninstall the app, restart your computer, and reinstall the app. Corrupted installation files can lead to various issues, and a fresh installation might resolve the problem.
  6. Wired Connection: If you’re using a wireless connection, try switching to a wired connection by connecting your computer or console directly to your router using an Ethernet cable. This can help rule out potential wireless interference issues.
    If, after following these steps, you are still experiencing issues, we recommend visiting the Battle.net Game forums on the official Blizzard website. There, you can find a community of players and developers who can provide additional insights or solutions based on their experiences.

Hi, Awesome, thank you. Sending you guys energy.

Please consider reverting the patch on Mac if feasible.
