Just dropping this but, I have the same issue and I have an Intel Mac (I feel outdated seeing these threads). Same issue, error 6:9 followed by perpetual login.
Good morning, and thank you for your responses!
Our developers continue to work on a fix for this issue for the MAC client encountering an error on login, and we hope to have a correction soon.

is there any kind of time frame?
This is probably one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. It feels like there’s no real team behind this, just a single person without much knowledge handling the issue. I feel scammed. It’s been nearly two months, and I still can’t play.
They work second month on fixes?
Your post didn’t give community any info.
Are you sure your team can test any fixes before release??
Is the company expecting a class-action lawsuit from the community?
If there ever was a time where developers were forced to work through the weekend until all critical issues were fully resolved, this is it.
Any time frames please?
The “Team” has been fixing the issue with launching on MAC OS almost 2 months already, and still there is no hint delivered on when it will be fixed. Only soons-soons-soons. Such a cheap answer, worse than simple silence. If 2 months is a soon (in case of course if the issue will be resolved actually in 2 months, what is not happening obviously), then it’s an intentional misleading.
Such a big company should be very precise when delivering any messages about fixing the technical issues of the game for which thousands of people have PAID MONEY to play eventually the BROKEN product. Not saying that 2 month to fix LAUNCHING problem of the game, which has been previously more or less at least working on MAC-s (with dozen of lags and bugs especially in MENU)
elon musk have to purchase blizzard so we may get things done quickly
Why isn’t there at least a banner in the Battle.net app indicating that there is a critical issue affecting all users on a platform from getting into the game? Yet you STILL are selling copies of the said game with full knowledge that it does not work. This is gross neglect and abuse of consumers, and is an outright scam.
This fixing takes tooo much time.
At this point I suspect smth like
if (RuntimeInformation.IsOSPlatform(OSPlatform.OSX))
{
showFakeError()
}
Just curious, has anyone posted a tech support ticket for this?
yes… they send chatbot answers
