Why did I just read this in the Scottish accent?
However, I have had the same issue, I was already using the authenticator application, however, my phone number was not attached.
When you enter the authenticator, click on the menu, and there should be an option to activate your phone number.
The page will say it takes a couple of minutes till it gets activated, however, for me, it took around 3 days.
Maybe open a ticket so they can fix it then?
