šŸŒ± <Wall Rose> Community Driven, Social/Casual Raiding Guild

Hello,

:scroll: Short history.

Wall Rose, some might describe as a special community, others might say itā€™s a ā€˜littleā€™ dysfunctional, high-octane powered odd circle of people. If my words matter, being its founder and guild master for over 10 years (Iā€™m old :sadge:), Iā€™d say I wouldnā€™t dare venture in to the universe of Azeroth without them.

Many of us (me included) have returned from a long hiatus/some kind of burnout. Iā€™m proud to announce the returning of 5-6 generations of Wall Rose members (Late Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, Legion, Warlords of Draenor, Shadowlands and Classic-Wow) for one last epic adventure fuelled with personalities that bounce off each other. The camaraderie is real. If you want a place to ā€˜belongā€™, I challenge you to find better.

:earth_africa: Guild Philosophy.

Our main goal is to keep the community alive/on its feet. Strung together, never separate. We want to minimise any kind of stress/potential burn out. This needs to be fun and not another job.

Many of us are around the early to late thirties. And from all over the world. With commitments that make personal hobbies/interest difficult to priorities.

Heroic Raiding/Mythic+ Dungeons will be the aim. And silly social events in between.

Raiding plans.
Two teams.

1-slightly try-hard, but not overly sweaty. Progression/consistency focus. (Semi-hardcore/casual)
2-old-persons-retiree-team (super casual-no commitment/no pressure)

:frog: Conclusion

We value quality over quantity. Truth be told we donā€™t technically need any more people. But itā€™s been a while since weā€™ve opened the doors to the world. So here we are! Weā€™re open to maybe 5-10 applicants. Whether itā€™s strictly social, casual raiding or semi-hardcore. Do please get in touch!

Apply now for a free coupon for a kebab paid by the GM himself (real and true).

On a different note the guild has been on and off since MoP and I and many others have been around since. Being joined by loads of new people every expansion since. (Except BFA but we donā€™t talk about that)

Fellow swedes people extra welcome, weā€™re colonizing the guild one step at a time.

I can confirm that I have been approached with an offer of a free kebab.

I have also been a member of this guild for 10+ years, whether actively raiding or simply engaging with the community while taking a break from WoW.

I have made some lifelong friends, and perhaps most importantly, havenā€™t really played WoW without being part of this guild ever since I first joined in MoP. Be it Classic, retail (or Scribble?!) thereā€™s always something going on!

So if youā€™re looking for a ā€œhomeā€ for life, we could be the place for you!

However, contrary to the rumours, we absolutely do not need more Swedes!!!
(Although youā€™d be most welcomeā€¦)

This is the guild of guildsā€”once youā€™re in, you are in for life! The people, the atmosphere, and the guildmaster-funded kebabs all make for the perfect environment to thrive. Oh yeah, we sometimes play World of Warcraft too!

I used my coupon for a free kebab and I got 2 of em. Now I can share it with all my loved ones. Thatā€™s just how generous this guild is!

But in all seriousness, this guild has provided me with life-long friends!

Weā€™ve been throwing banter and been able to clear heroic raids all while handing out free coupons for kebabs!

If you want to have a good time, eat delicious kebabs and also play World of Warcraft then this is your place!

EDIT: reposting from my current main.

I joined 10 years ago and still havenā€™t gotten my kebab, but Iā€™m too invested into this guild now to back outā€¦ Absolute Stockholm Syndrome situation.

Like others have said Iā€™ve made life-long friends in this guild, and I couldnā€™t imagine playing wow with anyone else. Iā€™ve heard rumours that weā€™re gonna open up a retirement home in a couple of years whenever our GM retires at the old age of 69 (nice) and Iā€™m all for it.

If you are:

  • Sick and tired of being sick and tired,
  • A banter-enjoyer
  • Swedish
  • Not Swedish
then youā€™ll probably never need to look for another guild again.

This is the most active, friendly, and welcoming group Iā€™ve had the pleasure of being part of in nearly 20 years of WoW.

Whether youā€™re geriatric casual like me, or someone who prefers a more solid raid schedule, youā€™ll feel right at home here.
And there is almost always something fun happening outside of the game, too. Usually kebabs.

Iā€™ve been part of this lovely group of special people for 10+ years at this point, and can honestly say itā€™s been a lot of fun over the years (including those unfortunate stints when our lovely GM goes out to get milk and another poor sod has to take over for a while before he ultimately returns).

  • However, this time we believe! (and regardless, we should have 9-10 months to go if the schedule holds up before he burns out )

So come join us for Dragonflight (or whatever weirdly named expansion is coming next) and be part of our little community of cozy & crazy people.

We arenā€™t young anymore (aside from the few kids still in their early twenties), but weā€™re high on the copium of life desperately pretending we can still handle staying up late several times a week, while we grumble that they just donā€™t make games (and raids in WoW) as they used to back in the day.

We especially welcome:

  • The charming bastards that have started to go a little gray at the top
  • The charismatic wonders that totally arenā€™t bothered by their receding hairline
  • The creative geniuses that spend way too much time knitting and painting miniatures
  • The sweaty gymrats that start the day with a ā€œshortā€ 10km run
  • The glorious connoisseurs of fine kebabs (and other food if need be)

If that sounds like something for you (or someone you know - we offer free kebabs for successful referrals), then let our Dear Leader, the esteemed Dr. Pepper know and heā€™ll help you out :+1:

I personally have an announcement about Wall Rose

And that Announcement isā€¦

This guild is like a horiatiki salad.
Btw this is how you make one.

In a bowl, add 4-5 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, the vinegar, honey, salt, pepper and 1 tablespoon oregano. Gently stir with a spoon just to combine, you donā€™t want to emulsify the dressing.
Chop the cherry tomatoes in half and add to the bowl.
Thinly slice the cucumber into half-moon shapes and thinly slice the onion. Add to the bowl.
Cut the green pepper into thin strips and add to the bowl.
Add the olives, capers, feta and 1 tablespoon oregano.
To finish, drizzle with 2-3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, top with rusks and serve.

Enjoy

Hello, lovely people.
I am a social, friendly and helpful player since late BC and am looking for a friendly and casual community to join. I am VERY reliable and commited when it comes to engagements like raid nights or myth runs, but I rather see myself on the casual side of things when it comes to pressure in-game (and outā€¦). Looking to join an active and friendly community for TWW.
Would you have a place for me? Not looking to join a guild. Kind regards.
