šŸŽ GD Chat Room (Part 1)

My dog is a Pomeranian/Poodle cross - he does bark quite a bit when someone comes to the door etc, heā€™s been trained to go into the kitchen when Iā€™m at the door (so he doesnā€™t escape) and barks round the corner
With the cold temperatures in your location, Iā€™d say a Bernese Mountain Dog, but that would cost a tonne in food!

Gotta give it to you finns.
Your handling of wild bears is in a league of its own.

Had one years back when I got out of the tent in the middle of the night for a nature call and I startled a moose that had gotten comfy amongst the foliage just a few meters away.
It scared the absolute bejesus out of me as it dashed up and ran right past me.
I always think twice before crawling out of the tent since then.
Not a super common with bears around me luckily ^^

I recommend cycling. Much kinder on joints and spine and you can traverse a lot further in the same time if youā€™re the adventurous type.
A stationary one or one with suspension if youā€™re very frail/much in pain.
Have had couple of mishaps and personally always started with biking while doing rehab until I got strong and resilient enough for running again.
Itā€™s also fun.

Hey Iā€™ve bought a toffifee box after a friendā€™s suggestion while I was there! Havenā€™t tried them yet though, what are they?

i wanted to link the clip from where that drawing is made but someone had turn the meme into political statement and all so i couldnt! and yeah related the cycling thats good option and fun, can travel longer distance with ease faster than walking.

I also got bit startled when saw the one moose on trail, first i thought its bear cos hear something big moving behind trees but then just this moose come out from the bushes and stop to stare like its from the series ā€œnorthern exposureā€ it was just as confused as me and went away once had enough.

if you near coast you could go cycling on the gulf on ice like this one swe from vƤsterbotten youtuber named erik normark who does good quality vlog from these adventures.

we went walking towards estonia with my little brother few years ago on this good -20 winter but theres shipping lines and my idiot brother were just on sweat pants without even long johns. we did 14km on ice that day and walked to this outer island for hot chocolate and meal, there would been 80km from that spot on foot to estonia and it freezed solid that year. would be funny walk there and say ā€œhelloā€ to harbourmaster and walk back home.

one fireman last summer row there from helsinki and got free spot to his rowing boat on harbour from the harbourmaster who said that his so dumb to row there that you get spot free and the guy was like ā€œworth itā€ :joy:

pretty random but on other hand isnt 1600-1700 era perhaps the most interesting time in history, surely atleast most appreciated related arts and architectural designs. tricorn hats and flintlocks and all that, bach, vivaldi. all the architechture and paintings from that era my god how is it not best in slot :joy:

1700+ era england had people from coast waving lanters to passing ships on night which thought the light for another ships tail and head towards the land and crash so the looters go rob the cargo and possibly mug the survivors, all on same era

the perfect match of caramel, nougat, chocolate and hazelnut.

Almost advise against trying them if you canā€™t get a hold of them at home. The knowledge of how good they are and having to be without would be torture ^^

oh I know the one. Strangely melodic cursing at wildlife ^^
Should probably be glad our moose are the ā€œsmallerā€ ones and not the north american kind. Though it would be cool to see one in person.
Common with bears in your area? Heard they can be quite disruptive.
Not unheard of for them to sometimes be spotted where I live but mostly by active hunters whom live in them woods. Have camped many times in bear region but nothing yet. Maybe only moose likes me ^^

Have to check out Normark, havenā€™t seen his stuff but I love that type of outdoors, few words type of videos.

Well to your brothers credit he did wear long pants and not shorts. But that is cool, itā€™s such a different feeling you get when walking on frozen ocean compared to inland lakes imo. Itā€™s a bit surreal. Also the sund not freezing over might be the only thing keeping us and the danish from invading each other.
Unfortunately have had kind of crummy ice last couple of season, always snows heavily just as itā€™s about to freeze over. Havenā€™t had proper fairy tale ice skating ice for years on my local lake. Works fine for ice fishing thoā€¦ And rally!

Maybe the fireman figured it was cheaper to row to estonia for groceries ^^

Theres been sights but not common, i live in small town but still big enough that its too crowded and they stay far in the furthern woods. Only one incident that one wandered to town which I read in local paper, there is some deers and the like on nearby areas if one go for walk and if go further in theory could encounter some if able surprise it. People living further from town I guess are used to it like him :joy:

His a legend. Definitely s+ tier what comes to filming and sound and content vary from tundras to skate or ski frozen gulf or kayaking lakes. I like inland skate on small lakes maybe more than big ones or sea but both has their own thing, inland small lakes feel like private and walk on sea or go some island is like exploring and yeah it is bizzare to know all the meters of water under ice at outer sea and enough scary to give that excitement. It has been bad couple winter row ice wise agree, hope this winter we get some good ice and long enough window to enjoy it.
