I would make them pay for it to be treated less of that would be considered normal. They would pay my sick leave while I looked for new place. But hard to say for the details probably typical management that only stares charts and has less care for any other variations.
Like landlords during heatwaves giving tenants a notice for increased water consumption and tips on how to save water by not using shower, we have noticed the water consumption has increased in our building and we are advicing people on uses of how to save water im like no kidding its increased if theres 30C day and night on your building ofc people are literally drinking water by gallons
Typical example of higher management that only stares charts but dont consider simple fact like heatwave increases water consumption temporarily, same with management that gets call from customer complain that souly didnt bring him food and now his making a formal complaint and all other reasons are not taken into consideration till souly has union rep telling them it.

also, we may enjoy many freedoms in this country that we take for granted but it has to be said, distribution of wealth is appaling.

At least you got the HSE and USDAW backing you up. As you know, i do the same job for a different supermarket. Your management aint got a leg to stand on regarding disciplinary action in your particular situation. My guess is that they will drop it, but probably make things uncomfortable for you, as in you copping all the flak for trivial issues. Good luck, mate!!
Customer are the worst thing you can meet. Im sorry soul for this situation. Havin worked for 10 years in csc i understand fully how bad this could be.
Management is perhaps even worst, if over one complaint have to put up for a hearing and call for union rep for present, seems hugely overboard kinda strange why they would go through that much trouble and like what is the customer going to do anyway, make a lawsuit that he didnt get his grapes and then lose the case in court if theres evidence that he didnt have to go where the customer wanted him in. Huge fuss over nothing. But now they will continue harrass him even if he wins it legally they will give trouble every single decision he ask or they can think of.
I donāt understand how this is good news. I was expecting āthey realised they were screwed and offered me a huge sum of money as compensation!ā are we expecting that? (Autism being dumb)
I also donāt understand people, what is wrong with them? Mum loves the delivery drivers, they always have a good natter, especially the one that likes Star Trek. Also a good moan about the shop being useless (Tesco) and the student pickers. I would never expect anyone to carry up heavy stuff in the dark. Iād probably put all the stuff into bags and take them up myself with a torch and just ask the guy to guard them in the mean time or ā¦idk something! NOT YELL AT THEM!
Oh i know next few weeks im gonna get hit with 30 drop delivery runs while everyone else gets 10. Thats ok. Ill run down the clock and make sure i get my hours like I do when i finish early, i just take the van home, make sure my device says im āon the roadā and i just sit in my house for two hours

I wouldnt mind if weeks would roll by like in matter of minutes and get to rest, grow 80 years in one day like in saving private ryan, pain didnt let me get sleep its going be long day with zero productive value, this day did not start well at all, neither of the feet were involved when stepping out of bed and what other sayings there are
I h8 being too tired all the time as well. Even if you force yourself to stay awake, you are too tire to do anything. Its lose, lose. If you do go to bed, you my not sleep or end up sleeping too much when you do get some sleep. End up being awake at night instead of the day time.

If skip night and go too early during day you mess rhythm, ive also found best solution to just go through the day no matter if its just as zombie and rest next night on time.
