Ive seen fossil fuel cars modified into using old french fries cooking oil for free from fast food places, which I thought cost efficient but not the most practical option I would choose.

There is also the argument if you spend too much time in fresh environment, you will become more susceptible to pollution

McDonalds do this with their old cooking oil, they convert it into biofuel. Their articulated delivery trucks usually carry the advertising for it on their trailers.

They use biogas which is manufactured from sewage, likely a methane type of gas. Raw sewage is not the most combustible of substances. It would also be likely illegal.

And despite what people think, methane is actually both colourless and odourless. The methane that is used as ā€œnatural gasā€ has an odour based additive added to it for safety reasons, like propane has an odour based additive. The best way for people to know there is a gas leak is to have it stink.

So if they were using raw sewage you would be smelling what is in the sewage, not the gas. Itā€™s unlikely that you will see buses with a large raw sewage container on the top.

My nephew took the license just for automatic. So she cant actually drive cars with manual. In future she could upgrade it but actually is in it in that way. There are 2 types if licenses.
Cheers from tenerife

same in the UK.

If you pass your test in an automatic you can only drive an automatic.

Pass your test in a manual and you can drive anything.

In the US the ratio of automatic to manual is like 98% to 2%, more or less every single vehicle you will see in the States is an automatic unless you specifically ask for a manual or ā€œstickā€ as itā€™s known.

Nice, thats fantastic and puts the frier oil in good recyclable use. I dont know if they would recycle the cooking oil anyway somehow or just dispose it but using for their delivery trucks energy is a splendid idea for re-use if can think of any

We walked a dog and that was it. Got pretty mad that people were just flocking to parks and beaches and ignoring the distancing rules etc. It was also kind of funny in a dark way for me because nothing really changed and everyone else got to see how I live. And they couldnā€™t manage.

I pretty much bunkered indoors for 2 years cause the usual places i go were so full people and impossible to get anywhere with all he traffic leading into those places in parks and nature. In my town there were kilometers long traffics from town to just this one small area by sea with one campfire place. Now theyre finally free go into restaurants and bars and travel and I also can go to some lake in peace somewhere when the rest are doing something else :joy:

One national park here towards east also came close to closing. There were one cool hanging bridge that collapsed cause people ignored the signs showing limit for it and there were like 50 ppl crossing it when the signs say max 10 a time. Also wear and tear on the land and trash everywhere it was a disaster really for the whole area, its really good pandemic is over and those ppl who ā€œfound natureā€ during it are free doing something else again :joy:
