This happened yesterday as well, in another region (near Zermatt / Matterhorn).
Mountain rivers are really dangerous because thunderstorms can be very local but still cause a disaster like that. Also there are hundreds of dams in the Alps and rivers can get bigger even when the sun is shining.

I feel you, star. Here in italy as you know we have flooding very often.
Unfortunately with the climate chaanging and the abûse we made to the soil here the situation will be worse and worse.

Im trying do some exercises on those chin up/dip things in parks in the forest and I hear some kids screaming their lungs out for help and the like further at the shore by sound of it. Well I walk to the beach and theres ppl on picnic with their pets and all and ask some group of mothers if all is alright that can hear some disturbing screaming all the way to the forest and they say theyre just kids having fun, I said that could they please instruct them not to scream help cause it sounded like something bad is done to somebody here and it would be quite dumb if cops would arrive example when some hears this “playful” screaming in distress for help and the like and calls them. Good that all is fine but damn, walked to have look for nothing, its like from the tale of crying for wolf. Also related curry Ive read Alagondar with some good tales of this deligacy, I think Ill add some peppers to my dinner today aswell to spice things up.

In Italian we make a distinction between “pesce” (like salmon) and “frutti di mare” (clams, octopus, lobsters, etc.).
I thought they were called “seafood” because of that. I hate anything that is not “pesce”. 
I sea, you dont like oysters and lobsters and such, äyriäiset. Idk whats it on English. Ive never tried lobsters or clams, theyre bit too pricey for me
