Well I cheat and use a cake in a packet for the actual cake but I add things to it.

However, you will need.

A cooker. Duh. P4reheat to 450c or Gas Mark 6.
A good big mixing bowl
Cake mix.
Carrots. (shredded) Always use FRESH shredded carrot, the stuff you get in packets is dried and shriveled and no amount of added water will make them salvageable.
Raisins and sultanas. I like to use both sultanas and raisins.
Eggs 3.
water.
Tablespoon (a proper table spoon remember, not a soup spoon which is what most people call a table spoon.) of vegetable oil.
Pumpkin spice preferred but you can use cinnamon.

(Remember with cinnamon, although it smells and tastes delicious, a large amount is actually dangerous because it makes your throat convulse shut leading to a choking hazard. So use sparingly)

Mix together the 3 eggs, water and a tablespoonful of oil (YOU NEED TO ADD THE OIL!!), using a whisk until all 3 ingredients are a yellow sticky goop with a film of oil and top and around the mixing bowl, then add the cake mix. It will stiffen quickly so you can either mix it with a whisk or I’d use a blender, and mix it all up until it is a free flowing brown goop. Then add the carrot, raisins and sultanas. The only lumps you should see is carrot or raisins, if you see any cake mix as a lump you will need to break that down. Any cake mix left over when you bake it will be a hard little lump in your finished cake and nobody wants that.

Second part is baking, and this depends on what you want, either a tiered cake or a single tier cake. If you want a single tier cake I suggest you bake it into a deep rectangle tin so you can cut the cake into rectangles when it is ready to be eaten.

For a tiered cake put it into separate round tins and they must be baked at the same time, and at the same heat, so if you have an oven big enough, you can place them on the same baking tray of your ovem. If you can’t you will need to bake each tin individually.

If you do it this way, remember that your oven’s temperature will have increased for your second tin, so allow the oven to readjust it’s pre cooking heat accordingly, or your first cake will be perfect, your second cake may be slightly overcooked. You will notice the difference.

All cooking times are between 20 to 25 minutes depending on your oven. You will notice your cake rise on baking, this is normal, as is it rising like a volcano and splitting at the top. Do NOT at any time, remove the cake from the oven while baking. If the cake is still soft inside the sudden drop in temperature will make it start to sink. It may not look noticeable at first, but after 20 minutes you may find instead of a nicely built up little volcano with a split top you have a cake with a middle that looks like an elephant trod on it.

To test whether or not the cake is ready to be removed you can either put in a skewer or a knife until it hits the bottom. If it comes out clean, your cake is ready. if it comes out with anything attached to it that looks very softm it is not ready. Again. Do NOT remove the cake from the oven at anytime when checking.

If you are making a tiered cake and you need to bake at separate times, you will need to follow these rules for each tin.

Once your cake/s are ready to be removed, take them out of the oven and let them room cool. By that I mean you just leave them sitting on a surface that wont burn. Do NOT put them in the fridge, this will toughen your cake’s outside on the inside if you get my drift.

Now comes to the frosting (icing)

I use cream cheese frosting or if you want, Vanilla frosting but cream cheese is better. After I put the frosting on I let it settle and harden, then using a fork, meander gently across the frosting leaving a trail of squiggly lines, then decorate with whatever you please.

For a tiered cake, the cake you select for the bottom should be made level, carefully cutting off the mound then layering with frosting, then adding the second piece again carefully removing the mound (if you choose to remove it), joining the two together gently but firmly and decorating the top as you please.

For the rectangular tin, I usually allow it to cool then simply frost the cake inside the tin and cut it inside the tin into small squares which can be then removed.

ENJOY!!

Edit. 200degrees not 450!!! For a second I was uding American measurements lol, so it would be 200 to 220 degress centigrade gas mark 6/7

Thank you!

I SO LOVE the designs of all these characters in overwatch, wish it wasn’t a pvp game with a pretty toxic community :')

And thank you

I only play online games and pvp but its really only fun with people that I know beforehand, otherwise I mostly just do the same. More or often its not worth and really rare to have encounter when someone actually says something non offensive or related strategy to atleast attempt to play as team or the like. It was the same for me in m+ however when I pushed keys in bfa, noticed quickly even in voice with randoms when had to go comms for higher keys. Need to find that regular team or mates to play with and it could become fun otherwise I rather not.

Always found it strange in some shooters that could be able hear the enemy in voice even after theyre dead. Manages to shoot someone in some type game and then have to proceed listen the fallen one scream to him over voice, seems so strange or why would I want that :joy:

Yeah, at that point I’d just rather not play it  That takes away from the experience, even if it makes it playable otherwise

I did turn it back on but we’ll see how long it lasts. But on a daily basis I ended up reporting a whole load of racism and unbelievable meltdowns at team mates.

PvP seems to bring out the worst in some.
