Hit my 120kg benchpress today.
Failed 122.5kg.
But will have it this time next week.
That was a target i set myself for next year i dudnt expect to comete it in a month.
Strength in my left arm is finally returning after 9 months of injury, there is still a 10kg difference in my left and right arms though in pushing power.
When that returns eventually i think 140kg benchpress wont be far from doable.
There is only one other guy with a simular benchpress to me at my gym now and his bodyweight is over double mine.
It’s not a race or competition. Plus it seems the self-appointed boss of the thread doesn’t like if just anything gets posted and without knowing what gets the seal of approval, it’s hard to know what to write.
gym is not boring man … without the gym i wouldnt have a personality…
like just the other day id just finished my workout … when i noticed a black duffel bag near the squat racks … it had wires sticking out and people were panicking… whispering… “its a bomb.” … at first i thought they were talking about me … im the bomb
anyway when i realized it wasnt about me for once my heart pounded … i grabbed the emergency phone and called 999 … but as the operator spoke, i hung up… there was no time to wait
i crouched by the bag … my hands steady despite my racing pulse… this wasn’t how I planned to end my workout … but there was no turning back now… i picked it up and ran outside in record time… then i just threw it in the air with all of my might and when it reached terminal velocity it exploded in the upper atmosphere and i saved everyone …
so next time you say the gym is boring think of that! if you ask me personally

Dont want to be that guy to point out the obvious but 9 months recovered from thing that were said to happent around this years summer? If any are paying attention. If I dont feel liking fabricated things and some thinks that would make me boss of something then thats their opinion
I been to physio been prescribed painkillers and everthing for the injury.
The pain is even still there but i am living with it.
As long as the strength returns i can live with the pain.
Happened with a failed squat.
Short story i took 140kg to the back of my neck causing nerve dmg.
Back in late april this happened.
Took 6 weeks off the gym to rest.
Wasent getting better so started the gym again anyway, realised the gym actually helped reduce the pain significantly because of the movements involved.
Went 7 months with only being able to lift half the weight i could before the injury because the nerve damage had weakened my left arm in pushing and pulling downwards.
Lift from the ground and curls wasent effected.
Best not to expect anything close to reality or truth from that guy.
Thought i had fractured my neck at the time which i also discussed here in this thread.
I squat 180kg now.
Partial depth because of a lower back problem basically 3/4 squat
135kg full depth.
Just realised it is exactly one year since I had my last ever cigarette! Go me!!
Might go on about it every few days for the next ten years now just to keep this mundane information that no one needs or wants to know in their minds…
Never had tbh once it became clear to me. Only confused at this point why some liking or taking its side with anything. From using search, Aug 15 post on this thread says 3 months of this claimed injury so that would be may and from may here would make 6 months but now its said 9 months. I have real chronic pain myself that I wont get rid of cause rheuma, but I wouldnt fancy reading made up stories or false injuries or problems for whatever reason anyways. I think it should be just clear what is going on at this point
