Neat. I look forward to even more crying.
to be completely honest thats amazing
I was really pleased they’ve expanded into teams because wowprogress has not been the best tool to date.
I wonder how many winners they’re goign to choose cause I can imagine a lot of people are capable of doing +21s at this point
I’m actually not that fussed about the competition, I’m just glad we’ll have more consistent ways to record our team runs XD
I pugged most of BfA, except I ran with a healer for a bit in 8.2, and SL looks like more pugging for me, but still near addition
I hope they make the review a regular thing as well. That was fun data to see.
Ooooh nice
Could be interesting…
No one was online and then I had a minor hiccup that we can’t be an EU English team with a German realm player. So we are just EU now xD
This is really nice, though i think a majority of players are not gonna use it.
It’s gonna make you feel less punished when you log an alt character for a run if it’s really needed.
Also love that it’s not character bound, but rather account bound so you don’t have to choose which characters to add and that you can have 2 subs, gonna be really nice for bigger teams.
Also nice to be able to put up a team name.
I think probably one of the best things about this is the ranked style brackets, as they say it’s gonna be a nice bit of progress, RIO going up is progress, but you only really count every 1000 most of the time, and that’s just so far away sometimes.
I think the numbers are gonna need to be readjusted though based on the season so there is some consistency, since S1 capped out at 22 but in the last season we made it to 32, but i am sure they are gonna figure that out.
Would like to see the bronze league be 2-9 instead and silver 10-15, i think that makes more sense, since 10 is a pretty big jump with seasonal affix.
As for the brackets gold, plat and diamond, there should definitely be either more brackets or at least divisions.
There is quite a huge difference between 16 and 20, to the point where i would not put them in the same bracket, and even more so the difference between 21 and 25 is insane. Like 21 is what i could do with pugs in my sleep almost and 25 was where my team capped out, but i suspect that SL S1 is gonna be kind of like BFA S1 and we’re gonna see max keys at like 25 so brackets are likely gonna be condensed and i am sure they have plans to expand this anyways, but just giving feedback as early as possible.
The feature with notifications for your favorite teams are gonna be quite niche i think, but i for one would like it if we ever get a mythic plus extravaganza event again.
The competition seems a little weird.
The winner of a bracket is the team that has the most points in the bracket, so the gold winner is the team that has completed all dungeons on +20, but it’s gonna come down to fastest time. And because it’s fastest time, the winners of the gold bracket is gonna be a team that normally plays in plat or diamond bracket, because they are easily gonna finish faster than the players that cap out at 20.
The wording “each qualifying member of the winning teams will earn one of the following prizes, based on the bracket they placed in:” implies that you only compete in the bracket you placed in, which is based on your highest key, so that also means that teams that complete 24s or barely 25s are not gonna stand a chance in their plat bracket, so they are gonna need to drop all the way down to doing +20s just to have a chance to win.
It seems kind of weird, but i guess there isn’t really a way around it, and it’s nice to see a competition like this.
I’m not so fussed about the competition as I am about Raider io having teams.
So far I’ve had to use wowprogress and as you can see that’s a barren place, our team is realm rank one, on our score that shouldn’t be the case. Raider io is more widely used and I’m hoping that more people will run teams.
Wowprogress didn’t even seem to record all the runs we did or score them properly. It seems so much better suited to raid recruitment.
