📢 Women and Minorities Mythic+ Tournament Now Live

So instead of based on merit we just pick people based on their sex, skin color, religion, ideology, sexual orientation/expression?
Gee, I thought we are past this nonsense!?

Merit would work if everyone had fair chances, instead we get comments like this to take a dump on minorities who had never a fair chance to begin with.

What is your basis for this claim?

People who talk about fair chance , only want the chance to be fairer in their benefit . So instead of putting in work , they ask to be treated better , because x y z .

What unfair chance did you have playing the same game as everyone with a though up name , behind a game avatar ?

Yea maybe but tbh idk cause then would be something like a, if I may say, ‘scholarship’ cause you’re a minority.

There’s also the point though that maybe there’s not a whole lot of women atm that are actually good enough to reach that level and you’re getting stuck and giving up of good male players cause you need to fill a percentage.

I personally think that it’s a thing about the industry itself and women.
Let’s say, women not daring to push high cause is a toxic environment for everyone so they cba.
Edit: that’s what we need to change, idk how or when but definitely women have to dare more.

The experiences of minorities in-game? Ever tried being a woman online? :joy:

Nah, this is about equal chances. Lots of people have not been given equal chances purely for who they are. If you don’t understand that, it’s fine, it’s not for you anyway.

In other words, women can not compete in an competitive (“toxic”) environment, while men can? Therefore we need to change the rules?

You sound exaclty like my sister and mother i think there are more women then people realize who are in that same way of thinking

So does this mean the regular MDI is men-only?

You should hear yourself, pathetic.

Oooooh… the “trust me bro” evidence. I see.

They can that’s why I said

Anything else?

The fact that this is how you think it is, shows at best you’re in denial, and part of the problem at worst.

There’s thousands of women and people of underrepresented in WoW communities that have lived this experience. Just because you can’t fathom this doesn’t make this a “trust me bro”.

No, just wondering if I understood you correctly.

It pretty much does, because your feelings aren’t evidence.

:dracthyr_shrug: keep being dense then.

Whatever floats your boat, lady. o7

Oh yeah im not a fan of that suggestion either for the same reasons.
But i do think if youre going to try and go the route of forcing change like theyre trying, its better to force a diverse and inclusive outcome instead of… their current plans.
