Something
Eating Azeroth pretty much.
Converting her essence into void with her dark heart… to what end, who knows? Villains always have the strangest reasons.
All I can think is that it’s going to be pure chaos.
Whatever it is, her plans will fail in TWW and she’ll have to do something drastic leading into Midnight where we’ll hopefully finally see a Void Lord or two!
Rave party at the core of Azeroth.
Crab rave?
To merge with Azeroth and become a Void Titan. She made a deal with your Old God, who’s goals were to corrupt Azeroth, no?
There’ll be a temporary truce with that Earth Proto-Drake wussisname because his world is in danger.
In the cinematic with N’Zoth in BFA she says “free me to find my own fate” as part of her dialogue. For this reason I don’t think her endgame is as simple as her ushering in a Void Lord but rather that she has a direction where she wants to be placed above the power of the Void Lords, Azeroth is just a great power source to tap into if she can find a way to do so.
The fact that she’s been trapped in the dagger for so long just cements her need for revenge on those who put her there. She seemed cordial with N’Zoth so I reckon that it wasn’t the old gods that caused her to be trapped in the dagger but rather a Void Lord instead.
I’m most likely way off though.
I can fix her.
If Khadgar couldn’t, you definitely can’t.
Just trying to reach you about your mounts extended warranty.
It feels like she’s on a path to trick void lords, the light and the titans while pursuing a way to become more powerful than all of them (all while they’re busy trying to kill each other).
Xalatath is just a sockpuppet for the Jailer, who has only faked his death at the end of SL and is still working on his schemes he has planned since a quarter past Pacman.
She’s definitely not to be trusted no matter what side you are on.
I’ve avoided spoilers from The War Within, so it’s pure guessing on my part.
I guess she wants to access the World Soul. That’s why we’re going where we are, isn’t it?
Then there’ll be a plot twist, because of course Azeroth is imprisoned. Gosh, the Titans were the baddies after all!
And then Xal’atath will break the prison and free the World Soul – just so she can corrupt it herself with Void energy using her McGuffin.
But we’ll come to Azeroth’s rescue and Xal’atath will flee.
But not before she has managed to begin the corruption of the World Soul.
And that’s the end of The War Within.
Midnight will start with us taking the World Soul to Quel’thalas. Because there’s only one remedy that can hope to cleanse the corruption that has taken hold of the World Soul – The Sunwell.
I mean, there has to be some reason for us to go there. And The Sunwell is the only thing of importance in that place, so that has to be weaved into the plotline somehow. And I don’t quite buy the notion that it’ll be a Void portal, because why does a Void portal have to be made within The Sunwell?
Anyway, then Xal’atath is ready for round two and she’ll call in all her Void friends to besiege Quel’thalas in order to lay claim on her prize and stop the cleansing from happening.
So that expansion will basically be us fighting Void baddies, like Metzen has said.
And I guess the final raid will be at The Sunwell, and it will involve us defeating Xal’atath once and for all.
And then the World Soul will be cleansed and we’ll get a cinematic at the end of the raid where the Titans will arrive and kidnap her and take her to Ulduar to imprison Azeroth once again.
And then we get to The Last Titan.
And now we’ve all had enough of these stupid Titans, so we go to Northrend to confront them and free Azeroth.
So we’ll kick their behinds and it’ll culminate in a final raid where Azeroth is born as the deity of Creation and lays the smack down on the Titans, because she’s the only one who can. And in a self-sacrificing move she’ll create a brand new universe with her own demise.
And that new universe will be Blizzard’s next Warcraft adventure.
That’s my hot-take. I feel decently confident in it.
Edit: Extra hot-take. We’ll of course ally with Iridikron in The Last Titan to beat up the Titans together. Another curve ball that Blizzard will feel clever about.
I am curious to see when Iridikron will come back into play.
I want to make her worse.
I knew there had be some kind of gif for it
