Now we have a critical mass of evidence that the High Elves will become an allied race for the Alliance later in Midnight.
High Elves banners have been added to Silvermoon, and this mini-district may become Quelâdorei starting point for leveling . The fact that the divided factions of the Thalassian elves will once again be able to coexist in one city is consistent with the developers narrative that this expansion will be about the reunify the scattered elven tribes.
On the WorldSoulSaga presentation, one of the Community Council members spoke with the developers and asked them to make the High Elves playable, and
The location of the High Elves, Silverglade Refuge has been added, and they update it almost weekly in alpha and beta, changing NPCs, etc. This demonstrates the importance of this for the developers.
One of the quest designers asked on Twitter: if the High Elves were playable, what mount would be their racial mount?
The developers have radically changed colors of the clothing for all the Void Elves, now they in white. I think this is because the traditional bronze and blue/violet armor of the Void Elves would be too similar to the gold and blue armor of the High Elves. And by the way, armor with these colors has already been added to the game as armor that we get when leveling up.
There are many more details, but these are the main ones. I am confident that we will have playable Alliance High Elves by the end of Midnight. My greetings to the players who have been waiting for this for years. For those who were against adding High Elves â trust me, there will be no tragedy for you, and everything will be fine
PS I apologize for my English, as it is not my native language)
PPS Yes, this is probably another topic about the High Elves. Sorry. But it just shows how many people are waiting for them.
Oh how funny it would be if High Elf Allied race was added for both Horde and Alliance because so far we have NO DATA about any potential counterpart race for Horde.
Yep itâs wednesday alright.
Although I swear the weekends are usually better place for those topics. Missed something? Early holidays somewhere?
Maybe theyâre introducing Sylverian Dreamers to give High Elves something that is âtheir own.â I thought those mounts were just placeholders at first. Maybe theyâre testing the waters a bit.
And while Iâm a bit more of a traditionalist, and would also prefer the hippogryphs/dragonhawks I must say their story is rather wholesome.
For those who donât know: Sylverian Dreamers came to the aid of the Silver Covenant during the destruction of Dalaran, saving many in the water.
Eh, would work fine for some of the dire maul nelves to ally with the blood elves, for their liking to magic. Yeah technically they joined up with rest of the elves in cata hence them getting mages.
Thereâs currently no evidence for high elves becoming playable.
Are they involved in the max level story? Yes. But thats not a sign of a playable race. (BTW the story seems to indicate that they will be integrating back in with the blood elves to at least some degree)
Did a quest designer ask what their mount would be? Yes. But it turned out that this was for their flight point and their winner was a store mount. Thats not evidence of them being playable.
Thereâs blue transmog? Thats hardly a shocker. Why wouldnât it come in blue? Thats the original colour for all thalassian elves.
There is currently no reason to think they are being made playable.
Sure, Blizzard CAN bend the lore to fit the narrative, and Lord knows they have, however it would still cause a riot if they opened up the Night Elves for the Horde.
And yet so many want the Blood Elves to go to the Alliance. The irony is⌠something.
Maâam, the option i mentioned is the exact thing that happened for nightborne. Not to mention that Maiev have already gone on a murder spree with the Shenâdralar.
You know damn well that, that is not the request that has been made all these years.
This wholly self-indulgent post (it should have been posted in the already ongoing thread) is the definition of copium.
They added banners!
A pro High Elf community member got a ânudge nudge, wink winkâ at an event over two years ago.
A developer asked about what mount they would likeâŚwhich is a weird question to ask about an allied race which is supposedly a shoe in for addition within the next eighteen months wouldnât you say?
They added a small settlement for the Silver Covenant! Which is updated every single week (there were no NPCs there before, now there are NPCs).
That IS the request that has been made since TBC, tf are you on about?
Now the request has evolved to divide a race, that ARE the High Elves, because theyâre with the Horde, and not the refuge/outcast no name elves that cling onto daddy alliance and go under a false racial name. Yes, that one.
She DID post the source though. Apparently over two years ago SOMEONE (on the community council no less) talked to SOMEONE else (from BLIZZARD no less) and when asked about Alliance High Elves they gave the old nudge nudge, wink wink.
I mean what more needs be said. If something as ironclad and explcit as an unreported and unverifiable conversation is to be doubted then I have no idea what the world is coming to I really donât.
Also did you not see the banners? In Silvermoon? They be blue!
