Tech support and Game Master.
Imagine something crazy like hiring people to solve the issues players may have in-game or technical issues without having to ask strangers on the forum for it.
Surely Blizzard has never even considered this revolutionary concept or perhaps they are ancient professions lost to time.
Customising: a profession dedicated to pimping your mounts with unique looks .
Also probably carpentry : building soft furnishings for our forthcoming houses!
Yes Carpentry/Woodwork and some kind of tree chopping gathering skill!
-
Toy crafter - craft toys / repair bots / teleport toys / etc * utility and fun *
-
Survival - bush craft , unique buffs, world buffs, world environment rep increases / experience * for delves and world content *
-
carpenter - makes furniture for player housing
I think architect would be my favourite profession when it comes to housing.
Photographer - giving us an access to camera similar to selfie camera we already have in game but with things like zooms, toggling off other players and filters. Also a “free cam” photo mode like they have in Fallout 76 where you can pose your char before taking a perfect screen shot.
Ability to view and share your screen shots in game would be nice too.
It’s that or a wood carver - where you carve small animal figurnes out of wood at the campfire while you await some epic battle. They either could be used as trinkets or toys you could donate to orphan houses in capital cities and such for maximum immersion. Or maybe put on shelves in your house.
I used to like the idea of profession in wow and I like professions being part of mmos. The way they have made professions now since they changed it to this needlessly complex and time consuming design its hard to think anything I would want if its with this same tiresome design. They almost became end game content on their own instead of just being professions people pick.
I just gave up with any profession in general, I even gave up with gathering professions as they make no gold and I can make more gold by just playing pvp and buying things with honor. Personally I think they kinda ruined professions few expansion ago but I would like to see them made as more simplified part of the game again in future and more people perhaps playing with them along other content instead of the profession being the sole content if that makes sense.
I wanna be a tax farmer.
Civil engineering. You know somebody gotta build your homes right?
Barista - come get your coffee from Starboar’s, it’s brewed for battle
Obvious. QA and actual Senior Software Engineers.
As association from that, would be wasted opportunity if they dont add something player housing related like decoration type things in professions
LUMBERJACK 100%
that would be our 4th gathering profession in wow, running around cutting trees, and it could be useful for player housing furnitures too, ohh how chill that would be…
Just like with new races, there is no point in a new profession. Every single one of them is based on the same idea. You get the materials and click on a button to craft it. It doesn’t require any sort of mini game whatsoever. How a housing related one would be different? You will going to do the same thing just with different pictures on the recipe.
I would hate a mini game profession personally. But everyone is different.
if implemented right and rewardy, it could actually be fun, black desert type of mini games in gathering professions makes the process encouraging and fun to many.
Please let us send peons out to chop wood and have them say “ready to work” when you click them …
