0 cr meet 2140 rating (MMR totally broken)

That what happen to my elemental shaman today

I am 0 cr at that time

Short queue game 1 everyone was low cr as it should be, i gone 5 win 1 lost
MMR : 1800 → 2041
Gain : 480 ratings

2nd game i end up with people around 2140 rating and one of them had 2250 rating

Blizzard hello what the hell you think a new player that first see wow will come back to the game after experimenting such a issue on the MMR ???

Its the end of the season where MMR is inflated.
Would you rather start with 0 MMR for the entire season?

starting at 0 and ramping up is a way better game experience than being psughed immediatly and requiring to lose in order to get conquest for gearing your character

Also makes it take longer to climb, right now 1500 is the “start of season mmr” so think about if everyone started at 0. How many more would quit and not bother trying to get atleast the elite set? x)

imo when you start you should be meeting people at the same rating
MMR is just a thing you should gain when you win to make you a “lost rating protection” or “shutdown of the rating” but not something to make yourself “guessing what rating you are”

it’s a ladder after all, no one like to start immediatly on top of the ladder to fall
people want to climb the ladder

Let’s take different game comparison , like League of legend, it’s not because you won 1 game in a MOBA that it push you to master or something

Even if you are good, you will have to climb like anyone else

They did this because you were playing an Elemental Shaman. Since the spec is so strong and so easy to play that you can bot it to top ladder, they get placed in lobbies higher than normal to prevent them from completely free winning their lobbies.

Which has a different rating brackets. Do you want everyone to start at “Wood”? Everyone gets 10-20 rating every win?

The start of the season is basically like the “Promos” you do where it puts you in the “correct” rating after some games. The difference is you see your MMR instantly.

tbf your MMR skyrocket if you start winning from the start on any spec. He did say he won 5-1.
If he had gotten 3-3 or lost his first round he wouldnt have gotten that MMR push.

Yes well I know how it works. It happened to be what we commonly call a joke, considering Ele bots are swarming my 2800+ lobbies (and I think one made #1 on the overall ladder not so long ago).

Yea, I were thinking about it being a joke but I were abit too tired to add anything more to it xd
Since I atleast know you arent stupid :+1:

I had this with my ret pala, the reward for worth it though.

If you started at 0 MMR, you would gain 0 CR on a win vs another 0 CR player. If you won, you would gain +3 or so CR. It would be an awful experience.

Don’t sweat about MMR, - just see the inflation as a helpful tool to get to your rating breakpoint faster. It just speeds up you to your endpoint. That is great for this late in the season.

You should find yourself at your MMR breakpoint after 10-20games. Best of luck! :dracthyr_heart:

ah yes the 900th thread about people complaining about getting good MMR that gives them a better chance to push rating faster

its called inflation the season is basically over

its like when u give a guy a suitcase with 100k usd and he cries that hes scared to have it instead of using it correctly

WHY U GIVE ME HIGH MMR, I WANT TO BE LOW MMR NOOB

5 seconds later

WHY YOU GIVE ME LOW MMR, I AM STUCK HERE CANT PUSH MMR

This is why no blizzard employees take EU forums seriously

That the difference between you and me

You pray on luck to get your rating

I base on skill to evaluate a rating

So yea i think

Is linked to skill issue and his way to reach his goal is simply to be better

Currently the start is actually 1800-2000mmr. Just dont play a healer and collect free duelists…

I did say 1500 is the start of season mmr xd
MMR increases as time moves obv until next season starts.

There is some mmr loss at the season start, but Im sure its not 1500 for everybody. Normies complained they dont want to fight gladiators in the first day or two, so ppl with higher ratings start with way higher ratings at the start of the next season. Another example, where blizz threw logic out the window to please the clueless crowd.

Its not 1500 for everybody because it takes old rating into account. But a fresh newly made character who reaches 70 at the start of a season should be 1500 MMR.

And theres nothing wrong with taking old rating into account for next season unless you want it even more “fun” for the rest of the people. The issue comes with people who played overtuned specs and believe it will be the same easy time they had before, so instead of wanting to get better they come to the forum to complain they cant faceroll anymore.

The difference between early season and later is them trying to hard-cap the MMR you can gain early which is why you kept fighting gladiators.

Is that why my 8th alt MM hunter is higher than your 10% negative winrate main?

So does this mean that you are mad that your skill is too low to be placed into that game and you would rather play against beginners so you can stomp them or something?

So be better when placed on higher rating? This whole reply makes no sense. There isn’t even visible difference between 2k and 2.2k shuffle lobbies right now.

Ah here we go personnal attack to make a point ?
I mean you played 300 games on your alt hunter hunter to be stuck at 2100 in Rated solo shuffle
I didn’t had time to play more than 150 games and i’m 150 rating under you
And in DF S1 i needed only 254 games to get my 2400 as MM

So that a irony to say you are better since i didn’t get time to play my MM yet, neither i wanted to push him above this season since the queue time passed in queue i got time to do other thing + i took a 6 month break out of wow at the start of the season

and i know you are the type of :

but you see we all have different use of time done

Everyone is equal skill and equal gear at the start of 98% of rated solo shuffle, that mean everyone have on design the same chance to win above 3 games
The difference to progress is those who use their skill to get above 3 games wins
And those if they do not match their rating to be under 3 games wins

If you comps noob, your rating goes upper
if you lose, the rating will set you to someone more of your level

bad lobby ? go next solo shuffle and rego up

The you didn’t followed up well
the OP is about starting after the 1st game done being immediatly to high level
wich the gear doesn’t match up
and the exp of the spec may do not too
if someone is stuck at a MMR after multiple game, that mean he didn’t make series of more than 3 games wins in the row and the rating maintain him at the same rating due to his winrate at 50%

player B is a player stuck at 2122 rating, his winrate is around 50% , if his winrate stay around 50% there’s no reason that player B go above that winrate since he’s at the bracket he belong with his spec.

Player S is a player at 1800 with 60% winrate, if he keep maintaining himself above 50% winrate then he will continue to climb up very fast

in order to push a winrate, you have to use skills to beat that 50% winrate else you stay the same or you lose rating

You started it with

no they don’t every lobby depends on your spec and class, ret paladin on tol viron with a mage warlock and ele shaman doesnt have the same chance as the other specs, neither does a warlock on ruins of lordaeron in a double warrior dk lobby

English?

You think you can’t lose Shuffle because of somebody else? You can play your game perfectly and then people troll you by not pressing buttons, it happens all the time

What gear? Its 6 months into the season everybody sends conquest boxes to new alts, every bracket is rating inflated, theres faster and easier ways to gear than quing Solo Shuffle

Never lost Shuffle because of teammates and classes in the lobby?

Who cares about small winrate differences? The only thing that is a meme in every bracket is having very negative winrate

But for Solo Shuffle you also need to get lucky if you aren’t playing a spec that is good in every lobby. Things like Ret paladin and Ele shaman are good in every lobby, but other specs will lose the lobby before the first game even started, because its a bad lobby for their class. I have seen so many Mages go 0-6 in a lobby that has a Hunter, because Mage + Hunter is a trash combo but when the Hunter is against the Mage it is also very hard to win

Bottom line: skill issue thread, u want rewards go invest time
