Also not been removed for low dps when the tank is pulling the whole dungeon. Or if I die cos stuff aggros on me.
I used to be super social, I was always having conversations with randoms outside of durotar and stuff.
Almost everywhere I went people were spamming random stuff in chat but nowadays, I mostly play to play and nothing else.
Sad but true.
People stopped socalize in game because people dont want to get ban for nothing like saying “noob” , jokes on specific group of people , etc
I never insult anyone, making weird jokesand never be banned but i can easily understand why people stop socialize in game.
If people stopped socialize its blizzard’s fault

It never came to a ban, because 4 people isnt enough for that to happen.
But it shows the mentality of the people these days with their cancel-culture.

after years of playing and playing i got banned last week for talking .
the most dangerous thing to do in game these days is talking.
now imagine i was trying to be funny too.

If socializing means insulting others and making (potentially) discriminative jokes among strangers, I think your definition of socializing is a bit off.
It’s really easy to not get banned…
So explains us why majority of people stop using chat and never use blizzard vocal software and prefer use discord ? 
Yes its easy, 20 y of playing without ban or suspension and I never insult people.
But I m human and sometimes others can get mad.
Am I going to report someone who said “stf* noob” with hope to ban him? No
I prefer the john spartan world than the asceptized, heavenly, etc world.
People can get mad sometime, and jokes even rude one can create social link between people.

I always welcome people in the groups i am in, i also always get responses. I am for sure not always the first to say hello.
And yeah, discord is just 10 times better on any level.
There is nothing discord add that WoW cannot
The difference is you re not gonna get banned in wow for saying things to people.

There are hundreds of reasons one can think of. Just ask yourself why we now would socialize. Just try to answer that question for yourself.
In the past social connections led to group making, guild invites (to get into groups and raids), etc. Now, the one you talk to is in a specific shard. Coincidentally the same as you are in, right now. But the chance that you see that exact same person again anytime soon, at random, is slim, very slim.
Random socializations are simply put useless. All the tools that help us group up, get into content, etc, push us further away from the need to socialize. And now we face the consequences of having taken that path.
Do you really think that the majority of the players know about the silence feature? I’ve never ever faced it, neither has anyone I’ve played with for over 20 years. You really need to mess up, or step on specific toes to trigger it.
And Discord…you. know that the same complains exist regarding Discord right? Random account-terminations due to a violation of some rule. They moderate, as does any significant platform as it’s mandatory.
You dont get 7 days wow silence for saying “noob” on discord. Thats the difference.
7 days in game silence means one week without playing m+
You don’t get 7 days as first offense anyways. So that’s a repeated offender… Sure, they only said “noob”. I don’t buy it. Don’t believe those sob stories.

What?
You even lose the chat after x messages in the game. Or you can send messages when you are not in the game. You can make appointments/schedule to do content. The game has so many limitations it is unreal. Discord is Pro.
