Then you’re not giving it a fair shot.
Maybe that player will surprise you?!
If I have a reason to do one (like for the weekly dungeon quest), then sure.
And I’m saying that that is an unlikely thing to happen.
You don’t need to enforce it.
‘that type of behaviour’?
I’m not sure what you mean exactly.
But: Idiots will always exist. With or without the system.
Remember that THIS is what you said.
You are being biased against this system and anyone who would use it.
What IF that player performs well? Let them play the game the way they enjoy it.
Why is that such an issue?
I was hoping that playing with me was a good enough reason… I feel sad now…
The 1-shot macro is a computer playing for the player. I know EXACTLY what he will do. No surprise there.
But in the end, I have absolutely no problem with performance as a concept. A new player that is trying their best shows up in my key… I will be the first to help him out. And carry him no issues.
Its the attitude that matters.
Its not the same to play with someone doing tank damage that sais:
Look, im new and I do everything I can. Thanks for having me though. 100% open to doing whatever it takes to help him out, and make it an enjoyable experience for everyone.
OR… some dude that sais… nah… im good. Il just keep pressing 1 and please carry me to the end of the dungeon.
Because he wont perform well. The 1-button macro will perform exactly the same, in 100% of cases. Its a computer playing for him. Not a person.
And he has the option of disabling that and at-least TRYING to participate more with the group effort. But he dosent. He prefers to stick to his 1-button macro.
