Remove Curse was added back in BFA my friend. Now you can just skip it. And no. I have the same amount of rotation buttons. Just less CDs.
I never said when it was added back i said it was removed in legion and they have added many abilities back to classes since then.
Then you have to be clearer.
The things we got in DF talent trees are in fact all Azerite Traits, some Artifact traits and artifact spells, SL legos and Covenant spells. All of them were modifiers/CDs. They only contribute towards rotations.
the talent trees gave many classes a lot of spells for example mage specs having access to displacement blast wave Mop did not have as many buttons as we do now the damage rotation was simple compared to what we have now it was actually it was very predictable tho which is hard to balance now we have weakauras to trade defensives.
Displacement was a mage spell already since Legion. It was just Arcane spell. And surprise - Blast Wave was a Mage spell in MoP. Just Fire spec spell. Thatâs actually 2nd thing they did. They provided spec specific spells to all specs overbloating their toolkit creating this mobility and CD bloat. Thatâs one of the reasons why we have precog in the game.
Some serious pruning needs to be done. I was always against it but this time pruning is almost a must.
In the past before Mop a lot of classes had access to multiple spells from other schools they brought that back and that was not the point the point was the specs are currently more complex than MOP was even tho Mop was very fun back then alter time of a ledge and back up was considered as a skill play its just basic now.
Its true not all classes had every spell that we have now but other spec specific abilities were shared like temporal shield and deep freeze for example.
ppl might forget that braindeadly was doing 1 button castsequence macros to play in mop arena at 2.4 rating x)
Mop was a fun time but i dont understand why all these players seem to think it was more complex than today the closest xpac we have had to mop in recent years is shadowlands and people hated it i enjoyed it tbh.
The game has just shifted since weakauras have been added and it wont be the same to play it again when the only cd you need to look out for on mage is frozen orb it will be very damp in the later seasons the reason it was so fast the first time around was because of people been 1 shot not respecting cds been used.
people, tend to praise class design because they had for the most part a good time playing those clases, idk exactly what is it, because tbh mage hasnât rly shifted too much, it definetly had a few peculiar things, like being immune to all spells for a few seconds coming out of iceblocks
frostjaw and deepfreeze
alter time giving u buffs back tooâŚ
blazing speed
in comparinson today we have blastwave knock double blink and displacement, ye overall its not TOO FAR DIFFERENT
warlock was big
and tbh i lost respect on rogues in modern wow
rest i never rly noticed any HUGE difference to claim mop was SO MUCH BETTER
it had better players, thats guaranteed
but Taste for blood warrior proc 1shots
mage stun
and some other designs were questionable⌠im glad we moved away from deep freeze, snowdrift is already a better designed spell, bit too broken with the cdr u get from finger of frost⌠its odd that snowdrift benefits from this, but many other spells donât⌠idk maybe im just not a huge fan of frost design overall
It sounds like you didnât play that itteration of WoW for a long time. Mage gameplay is probably the most different from all classes in the game. Even SL â DF transition was huge. Mage gameplay was more based around CC and agressively pushing for CC. Nowadays you literally pump PvE damage with landing CC only when your partner sets it up for you. It changed the most with CC duration change. Also in MoP Mage had multiple tools to set up CC for himself. Frostjaw, Deep Freeze, Counterspell Silence? Do these things tell you something?
These things are first two major patches. Why donât we compare it with complete MoP - 5.4 patch when the game was actually good. The game was patched way differently back then.
the game was patches more often, we were very often on teamspeak reading mmo champ back then⌠nowdays its just random, unless something is super broken stuff remains the same for months
But most of these patches werenât PvP tuning.
i mean, there was tuning more often during mop, but even before mop, most end of the expansion felt good to play, actually its still the case⌠maybe corruption season is an exceptionâŚ
I wouldnt say it was agressivly pushing for cc you just had a different playstyle with other classes having less outs it was more about saying 1 2 3 and all doing your cc chain on different targets this was the case for RMP/godcomp and destro MLP the only one i would give you for going for cc is in s14 wmd but deep freeze into counter spell silence was enough to land kills most of the time in warr stuns.
Also the best comp in the game back then relied solely on PVE damage LS D would just dampen the game untill the elemental RNG Procced lava bursts and one shot someone or the enemy team ran out of cds.
Then you have no idea about Mage gameplay.
AlsoâŚ
Iâve never said MoP was more complex. Was just more fun and Iâm not afraid better. Currently rotations are overcomplex and became too important part of the game. While CC was the key part of the game and casting was normal then.
Braindeadly stopped playing in 2nd season of MoP because he signed some contract with a game org and it was something shady.
Blast wave excists since vanila
I know it but guy said it was recently added.
Did you play mage in Mop? because from playing mage since TBC Mop frost was the 2nd easiest its ever been only WOD topped it off while playing RMD and waiting for red buff killing spree to use deep freeze into cs or deep into ring which the enemy couldnt stop without a stun because you had enough haste to get kicked on polly and still cast the full ring of frost.
How can this not be against the TOS ?
Wasnât there drama about auto hotkey short time ago??
Yes I did. Indeed Mage was strong but saying it was quite similar to now is a herecy.
