M+ gives worse gear from HC raiding so the farm stops and have to raid eventually, for those who cant sr the game isnt for you as blizzard made it.
M+ has worse loot drop rates from raid atm. I did countless dungeons for the tanking trinket from DOS and took 0 trinkets. So atm best way is rating pvp.
Rated pvp is good way if you’re good at it. I for example I’m hopeless in arenas. Also raids should definitely always reward better gear than dungeons. Maybe one or two bis pieces could come from dungeons.
Most people haven’t even cleared normal raid and you think it’s a good thing that it’s already obsolete from quest gear? This is even worse than BFA where Ion said it was a problem that people outgeared the raid before clearing it.
Yes, but you couldn’t earn enough currency in a week of raiding to afford a pece of raid quality gear. That would take weeks too.
It was sarcasm. Yes aside from couple trinkets Normal raid is now obsolete - wellfare gear caught up to it.
But it’s not worse then BFA in BFA conquset gear was normal from the start and about this time of the season would become heroic - you just had to fill the bar with world quests. Not to mention emissary gear which was also equal to normal.
And not even a bonus roll chance anymore which is even more r-word
(would love to use this word, because it’s the most fitting description for this “design” decision)
So RNG isnt fun? Im in shock
It looks like blizzard dont even playing their own game pal so what can we expect. Your biggest chance is that some popular streamer point it to blizzard.
I have 100% sympathy for you. Cant imagine doing 10 bosses and got no gear. Imagine after that having bad luck from vault too
It seems Afterlife is filled with Brokers and rotting in poorness.
Now you know why players are quiting. No becouse of amounth of loot but becouse how cemrazy fast content gets invalidated. Why even bother do mythic+ or raiding when i can get most of my gear by spaming random bgs and farming world q lol.
Drive behind experiencing content in raids is also long gone thanks to lfr what offers free content experince for no effort. This was main reason why players went into raids. People wanted to see them and experience them. Now they can do that with single pressmof the button so wjyhy bother do higher difficulty levels.
When you start playing? Becouse it was absolutly normal in past go 2-3 weeks without getting single loot and nobady complained about it.
Really nobody complained? Forum is full of it from day 1. Not sure what you talking about.
As usual they went overboard with it. From one extreme to another.
I’m ilvl 206 atm so i guess i can’t complain? Well, not quite.
World bosses: 6 weeks running zero loot
Nathria: been clearing 6-7 on normal, 1-2 on heroic, ye i know it’s not hardcore. Almost no loot. Got my head piece in the first reset when the loot was still “dropping more often than intended” xD The only thing worth noting was a weapon from Huntmaster, ye that was a big upgrade.
M+: ive been doing them quite a lot, at least 4 per week and this is where i got most of the upgrades. About 5 items on my gear are from great vault from mythic+ now.
I also have a few pieces from timewalking ulduar. Guess what, they ALSO NERFED THE DROP RATE TO MATCH “INTENDED” DROP RATES IN SHADOWLANDS XDDDD But they did after i cleared it so yeh, suck it up whoever didn’t cleared early.
I mean why would i put myself through the effort of progressing in nathria heroic if i get almost no drops in there? And even if i do get a drop that has crap stats I can’t trade it over xD
Mythic+ deserved a nerf and it got one. Raiding though, nobody ever complained about raiding being too rewarding. In fact it was the opposite with this stupid personal loot. After the changes raiding is so unrewarding that ppl might not bother doing it. And lets face it, most ppl raid for gear. Raiding usually gave you the best gear available on that level of content and players always pursued it. They wanted new cool trinkets, tier sets, new class armor sets etc. It was the easiest motivator. Now that you get almost no loot… well, there’s very little motivation xD
It’s not like the content is any good either. What tier it is now, 27? 28? I lost count after 18 (Hellfire Citadel). It’s the same stuff with a different texture and model.
People having expectations is the problem, I lost that expectation while doing m+ and I’m not getting tilted anymore as much as before, because in my mind I only do it for the great vault, no loot from the dungeon itself, same for the raid… After all its better to be surprised than expecting something, right?
And now normal is obsolete from quest gear
Big brains at Blizzard.
i plan to enjoy meaningfull 197 weapon and rings from bgs this week . although i really really hate pvp - but there is no other choice ^^
ye them world bosses. i havent seen a single drop on any of my multiple alts since begiing of expansion
do they even have drops ?
I killed weekly boss for 5 weeks now, and no loot from a single one of them! -
My vault was bad as well.
This expansion is absolutely trash when it comes to gearing
What’s “MMO” got to do with gear drop rate? Was WoW not an MMO in Wrath and after with better loot systems?
I’m okay with anima drops as long as it gives us anything meaningful. I’m past all the first covenant upgrades and I need 5k for every next upgrade, with much more to come… And with teh covenant vendor requiring anima as well, 35 anima feels like a slap in the face for anyone who doesn’t religiously do every world quest every day. Asmongold once suggested a 35+35 anima per mythic level, which seems okay because you’re getting something for the effort you put in, as clearing a mythic 10 isn’t easy so why not let it drop 350 anima. Not like it’s gonna break the economy.
Or… Just bring back token vendors for pve and give us a weekly cap on those tokens so we can’t instantly buyout the vendor. Then let said tokens drop as a consolation prize instead of anima.
For the record; I am okay with the gear drops. I don’t need loot every dungeon or raid. It’s the slap-in-the-face anima that I get instead that makes mythics and Castle Nathria feel like a waste of time.
Edit: In my opening line I commented that anima should give us something meaningful, I should clarify that I meant that the amount should be meaningful. 35 anima when you need 5k for a covenant upgrade or even more for all of the cool cosmetic rewards from the vendor is not what I call meaningful…
Thinking of doing the same, although I haven’t done pvp since Cata. Gonna start with unrated 40v40 and see how it goes
