If they could run the office out of a hole in the wall they would have, to save money 
Blizzard. They couldn’t just fire them, because the office is in Ireland, and they’d have to pay millions after going to court.

It’s called redundancy pay… like your company resigning your job from under you, rather than you walking out.
In America, they call it cutbacks.

They could if the office was in USA, but in Europe we have laws protecting workers rights.

I never especially loved Az as a YouTuber, but he used to produce at least respectable enough content, and sometimes quite amusing.
Then he left WoW, and his views tanked. Gotta feed those views, and he was not doing it with other games, so he returned.
He was always a bit shouty and sarky, but since he came back, his shtick seems to have morphed into less content, more snark, more clickbait. Just look at the scrawled whiteboards shouting from his thumbnails now.
The story itself is a matter for concern for all Blizzard players, that Blizzard are trying to shed jobs pretty fast suggests that the medium-term prospects at least aren’t looking up, but I don’t need a clownish or sarky presentation of it.
